PIDGIN GOD DEY FOR ME!

Romans 8:31 AMPC 

So wetin we go talk about all dis one? If God dey our side, who fit stand against us? Who fit be our enemy if God dey our corner?

 

E be like say people and things dey always dey against us, abi? Sometimes e go even be like say na only us waka come, or say nothing dey work for us. But if God dey for us, nothing for this earth fit really come against us. If God truly dey your side, who or wetin for this world fit stand up against you?

Different things for life fit rise up against us—anybody wey no dey hide for inside God go chop defeat, but those wey dey hide for inside God, na God go help fight for them. Who among us get the power to face the kind enemies—both the ones we see and the ones we no dey see? 

Ephesians 6:12 talk say, “Na spirit we dey fight, no be human being—na different wahala, evil power and wickedness for high places—where we for no fit win without God wey dey our side.” And 1 John 4:4 talk am say, the Holy Spirit wey dey inside us, big pass anything wey dey this world.

Many things for life fit turn against you—friends, family, work people, school, teacher, papa, mama, husband, wife, anything! But remember say na only God no go ever turn him back against you—na why na only God dey for you for real.

Even our own mistakes—both the ones we make years back—fit dey used against us. 

How e go be if dem dey use old error judge us? Nobody go gree! That time, Adam Clarke papa—one big preacher for old England—tell Adam teacher say e no sure say him pikin go do well for school. The teacher answer say, “The boy dey shine for my eye!” Adam hear that one—and e change im life. If God dey your side, who fit stand against you? Nobody! God pass everybody and everything—God big, strong and power pass anything or anybody for this world and even heaven wey want do you bad. 

People fit dey measure you, judge you, based on their own view—no be say na your action or how you look, but just because dem want do am.

This Bible verse really dey encourage person: “Wetin we go talk about these things? If God dey for us, who fit dey against us?” 

Even for him family eyes, David na just shepherd boy befor (1 Samuel 16:11-12), but for God eye, na king him be! People dey like to give label anyhow from day one wey person dey born. 

Somebody go talk say, “You just resemble so-so person,” or say “You no sharp,” or call person “plain Jane” or “loser”—before you know, person go come believe all those wahala way dem talk.

Paul wey write Romans talk say all the suffer we dey pass, e no reach the kind glory we go get. If God Spirit dey with us, anything wey fit come, God go carry us pass am, and God dey arrange everything for our good (Romans 8:29-30). If God dey for us, who fit dey against us?

Who fit dey against us? NOBODY!

True true, people fit do us bad, we fit even suffer, but nothing fit finish us—at the end na Jesus glory we go enjoy forever. Even if we suffer, we no go destroy. No matter as things bad, make we remember—God dey for us!

So abeg, drop all those bad labels and limit from your mind, trust God. If God dey your side, you go climb up, nothing fit hold you down! Na only God fit destroy person spiritually (Matthew 10:28), so make you dey fear and thank am say Him dey for us and no be against us. (Extract from "The Spirit of Prayer")
