AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST!

2 Corinthians 5:20 AMPC So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.   To be an ambassador is to be a representative—someone who carries the authority, message, and character of the one who sent them. When Paul declares, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, he is reminding believers that our lives are not our own. We are carriers of the gospel, reflections of Christ, and visible expressions of the invisible God. Yet, if we are honest, many Christians today have become poor advertisements of the message of the cross. Instead of drawing people to Christ, our attitudes, inconsistencies, and lack of integrity often push them away. Jesus Himself confronted this problem in His day. His strongest rebukes were not directed at sinners seeking mercy but at religious leaders who claimed to represent God while ...

PIDGIN AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST!

2 Korintians 5:20 “Wi dey ripresent Christ, so dat God go tok to una, thru us. Wi dey beg una bikos of Christ sey, “Make una shange kon bi God friend!   To be ambassador mean say you be representative—person wey dey carry authority, message, and character of di one wey send am. When Paul talk say, “We be Christ ambassadors,” e dey remind believers say our life no be our own again. We be people wey dey carry di gospel, mirror Christ, and show di invisible God make people see am. But if we talk true, plenty Christians today don become poor advert for di message of di cross. Instead make people draw near to Christ, our attitude, double standards, and lack of integrity dey push dem comot. Jesus Himself confront this kain problem for Him time. Na religious leaders wey Him rebuke pass—no be sinners wey dey look for mercy—but those wey claim say dem dey represent God but dey misrepresent Him heart. For Matthew 23, Jesus call di Pharisees “whitewashed tombs”—fine outside but rotten i...

CHILD-FRIENDLY AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST!

2 Corinthians 5:20 GNT Here we are, then, speaking for Christ, as though God himself were making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ's behalf: let God change you from enemies into his friends!   To be an ambassador means to represent someone important. As Christians, we represent Jesus. This means our words, actions, and attitudes should show people what Jesus is like. But sometimes, Christians do not act the way Jesus wants. Instead of bringing people closer to God, our behaviour can push them away. Jesus saw this problem in His time too. The religious leaders looked holy on the outside, but their hearts were not right. They loved attention and titles, but they did not show love or kindness. Jesus called them “whitewashed tombs” because they looked good but were not clean inside. This still happens today. Some Christians judge others but ignore their own mistakes. Some say the right things but do not live them out. But if we want to represent Jesus well, our lives ...

BARRIERS TO FAITH!

Hebrews 11:6 TLB You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely look for him.   Faith is essential to the Christian life, yet while faith is a gift from God, it is also something that can be hindered, weakened, or obstructed. The greatest threats to faith are rarely external; more often, they are internal barriers formed in the heart and mind. These barriers—such as unbelief, fear, pride, shame, and overreliance on human reasoning—can quietly limit our obedience to God and prevent us from stepping into His promises. One of the most prominent barriers to faith in Scripture is unbelief. The story of Israel at the edge of the Promised Land illustrates this powerfully. In Numbers 13–14, God had already promised the land to Israel and demonstrated His power through miracles in Egypt and the wilderness. Yet when the spies reported the presence of giants, the...

PIDGIN BARRIERS TO FAITH!

Hibru 11:6 “ Nobody fit make belle sweet God without faith, bikos anybody wey dey kom meet am, must bilive sey, E dey alive and E dey reward pipol wey dey find am si.”   Faith na essential part of Christian life, but even though faith na gift from God, dem still fit hinder, weaken, or block am. The biggest threat to faith no dey come from outside; more often, na inside barriers wey form for heart and mind. These barriers — like unbelief, fear, pride, shame, and depending too much on human reasoning — fit quietly limit our obedience to God and stop us from step into Him promises.  One of the clearest barriers to faith for Scripture na unbelief. The story of Israel for the edge of the Promised Land show this well well. For Numbers 13–14, God don already promise the land to Israel and show Him power through miracle for Egypt and wilderness. Yet when the spies say giants dey, the people respond with fear and disbelief. Their confession — “We no fit… we be like grasshopper fo...

CHILD-FRIENDLY BARRIERS TO FAITH!

Hebrews 11:6 GNT No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.   Faith is very important in the Christian life. The Bible says we cannot please God without faith. But sometimes, things inside our hearts make it hard to trust God. These “barriers” can be unbelief, fear, pride, shame, or thinking too much instead of trusting God. One big barrier is unbelief. In Numbers 13–14, God promised Israel the Promised Land. But when they heard about the giants, they became scared and said, “We are like grasshoppers.” God never said that — they said it about themselves. Their unbelief stopped them from entering the land. Another barrier is fear. Fear makes us forget that God is with us. When the disciples were in a storm, they panicked. Jesus asked them why they were afraid. Fear and faith cannot rule our hearts at the same time. Pride is also a barrier. Pride says, “I can do it myself.” King Saul disobe...

SUDDENLY!

Acts 16:25-26 TLB Around midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to the Lord-and the other prisoners were listening- [26] suddenly there was a great earthquake; the prison was shaken to its foundations, all the doors flew open-and the chains of every prisoner fell off!   Suddenly is when something happens quickly, without warning, or unexpectedly, unexpected occurrence without transition from the previous state. A happening without previous notice or with very brief notice; coming unexpectedly, or without the common preparation; immediate; instant; speedy, abrupt turn of events. God’s suddenly moments often arrive when obedience and perseverance meet divine timing. They remind us that delays do not equal denial, and silence is not absence. As we remain faithful in prayer and praise, God works behind the scenes, preparing an unexpected breakthrough that reveals His power, glory, and perfect purpose. Suddenly! A eureka moment! The Aha moment! Whatever exp...
