ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE!

Romans 8:28 AMPC We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.   One of the most reassuring truths in Scripture is that God is not random, reactive, or uncertain. He is intentional. He is purposeful. And He is actively working in the lives of His children. Paul’s writings is not a cliché; he is revealing a divine pattern: God weaves every thread—joyful or painful—into His larger purpose for our lives. God’s purpose is rooted in His character. His purpose flows from who He is. He is wise, sovereign, loving, and faithful. Because His character is unchanging, His purpose is unshakable. Isaiah 14:24 declares, “The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, ‘Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand”. Nothing can frustrate His plans. Not human failure. Not demonic opposit...

PIDGIN ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE!

Romans 8:28b “And wi know sey evritin dey work for awa good, bikos wi love God and dey do wetin E wont.”     One of di most reassuring truths for Bible be say God no dey random, e no dey just react, and e no ever dey confused. He dey intentional. He get purpose. And He dey actively work for the life of Him children. Wetin Paul write here no be cliché; na revelation of divine pattern: God dey weave every thread—joyful or painful—inside bigger purpose wey Him get for our life. God purpose dey rooted inside Him character. Him purpose dey flow from who He be. He dey wise, sovereign, loving, and faithful. Because Him character no dey change, Him purpose no fit shake. Isaiah 14:24 say: “The Lord of hosts don swear say, ‘As I don think am, na so e go happen, and as I don purpose am, na so e go stand.’” Nothing fit scatter Him plan. No be human failure. No be demonic opposition. No be unexpected detour. This one mean say even when life look like confusion, God no dey confused....

CHILD-FRIENDLY ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE!

Romans 8:28 GNT We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.   God is never confused or unsure. He always knows exactly what He is doing. Everything God allows in our lives—happy moments, hard times, surprises, and even mistakes—can become part of His good plan for us. He is intentional, loving, and wise. The Bible says in Isaiah 14:24 that whatever God has planned will happen, and nothing can stop Him. This means that even when things feel difficult or unclear, God is still in control. He is never late, never surprised, and never unsure. Sometimes we want to understand everything before we obey, but God wants us to trust Him first. Proverbs 19:21 says we may have many plans, but God’s purpose will always win. His way is always better than ours. Think of Joseph. His brothers hurt him, he became a slave, and he even went to prison. It looked like everything was going wrong. But in the end, Josep...

SYMPATHY AND EMPATHY!

Job 30:25 AMPC Did not I weep for him who was in trouble? Was not my heart grieved for the poor and needy?   Sympathy is the formal expression of pity or sorrow for someone else's misfortune and the state or fact of responding in a way like or corresponding to another. Sympathy is also the understanding between people, a common feeling and shared support from the same feelings and opinions. Something happened this week to make me put myself in that person's shoes to realise that sympathy and empathy are something everyone, especially believers need to express occasionally, if not always. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Are you a sympathetic and empathic person or are you just sympathetic or empathic only? A sympathetic person reaches out in compassion to one in need and stands beside that person to be of comfort and help. We appreciate sympathy from others, as others appreciate sympathy from us. Sometimes we cry out for sympat...

PIDGIN SYMPATHY AND EMPATHY!

Job 30:25 Abi I nor follow pipol wey dey trobol kry kon sorry for pipol wey nor get at-all?!   Sympathy na when person show pity or sorrow for another person wey dey pass through bad thing, and e still respond in way wey match wetin that person dey feel. E also mean understanding wey dey between people—common feeling and shared support because dem dey reason alike and feel alike.  Something wey happen this week make me put myself for that person shoe and understand say sympathy and empathy na sometin wey everybody, especially believers, suppose dey show from time to time—if no be always.  Empathy na ability to understand and share another person feeling. You be sympathetic and empathic person? Or you just get one of the two? Sympathetic person dey reach out with compassion to person wey dey in need, stand by am to comfort and help am.  We dey appreciate when people show us sympathy, just as others dey appreciate am from us. Sometimes we dey cry for sympathy...

CHILD-FRIENDLY SYMPATHY AND EMPATHY!

Job 30:25 GNT Didn't I weep with people in trouble and feel sorry for those in need?   Sympathy means feeling sorry for someone who is hurting.  Empathy means trying to understand how someone feels by imagining yourself in their place. This week, something happened that reminded me how important it is for us—especially believers—to show sympathy and empathy. Jesus wants us to care about others. A sympathetic person comforts someone who is sad or struggling. We all need sympathy sometimes, just like Job did. Romans 12:15 teaches us to “weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice.” When we care for others, we show we are becoming more like Jesus.  1 Peter 1:22 says, “Love each other deeply with all your heart.” The Bible teaches us many times to care for one another: Galatians 6:2 – “Share each other’s troubles.” 1 Peter 3:8 – “Love each other and be tender-hearted.” 1 Corinthians 9:22 – “Try to understand others so you can help them....

BENT OVER BUT NOT BROKEN!

Luke 13:10-17 AMPC Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. [11] And there was a woman there who for eighteen years had had an infirmity caused by a spirit ( a demon of sickness). She was bent completely forward and utterly unable to straighten herself up or to look upward. [12] And when Jesus saw her, He called [her to Him] and said to her, Woman, you are released from your infirmity! [13] Then He laid [His] hands on her, and instantly she was made straight, and she recognized and thanked and praised God. [14] But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, There are six days on which work ought to be done; so come on those days and be cured, and not on the Sabbath day. [15] But the Lord replied to him, saying, You playactors (hypocrites)! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead it out to water it? [16] And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom...
