1 Kings 18:43 “3Leta e tell en savants, “Make yu go look di side wey di sea dey.” So di savant go look am kon kom back sey, “Nor-tin dey der.” Elijah kon send am go look again for seven times.   Imagination na power wey person get to use mind form new idea, picture or concept about things wey eye nor dey see, or use mind create something wey never show. As Ephesians 3:20 yarn, wetin you dey imagine? You fit call am fantasy but if your fantasy nor align with Bible way, e nor get better meaning. Imagination na big gift from God, na im resemble how God create us. Everybody get imagination, e dey show even for daydream, planning, memory, and meditation on God word. IMAGINATION!

1 Kings 18:43 TLB   and said to his servant, "Go and look out toward the sea." He did, but returned to Elijah and told him, "I didn't see anything." Then Elijah told him, "Go again, and again, and again, seven times!"   Imagination is the faculty or action of forming new ideas, images, or concepts of external objects not present to the senses; it is the ability of the mind to be creative or resourceful. Imagination is the production of sensations and ideas in the mind without any immediate input from the senses. Lack of faith, therefore, is the failure of imagination, as seen in Ephesians 3:20. What are you imagining? We may even call it fantasy, but do our fantasies align with the biblical standard? Without imagination, there can be no fantasy—the ability to imagine impossible or improbable things. Our imagination is not only a great gift of God, but it’s also an aspect of the image of God. Everyone has an imagination, and we always use it, wh...

CHILD-FRIENDLY IMAGINATION!

1 Kings 18:43 “Elijah said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant looked, but saw nothing. Elijah said, “Go again, and again, and again, seven times!”   Memory Verse- Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” What is Imagination? Imagination is using your mind to picture things that aren’t there yet. God gave us imagination to dream, create, and believe! Why is Imagination Important? - Imagination helps us have faith! - Imagination helps us pray and dream big. - Imagination helps us see what God can do. Bible Examples - Elijah’s servant had to imagine the rain before he saw it. - Abraham imagined having many children, like the stars. - God asks, “What do you see?” because He wants us to imagine His promises. We must imagine something, see it in our mind’s eye, and visualise or fantasise about it through meditating on the word of God to begin to see its physical manifestation, ...

TOTAL OBEDIENCE!

Jeremiah 35:1-19 NASB The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying, [2] “Go to the house of the Rechabites and speak to them, and bring them into the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.” [3] So I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, son of Habazziniah, and his brothers and all his sons, and all the household of the Rechabites, [4] and I brought them into the house of the Lord, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was next to the chamber of the officials, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the doorkeeper. [5] Then I set before the men of the house of the Rechabites pitchers full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, “Drink wine!” [6] But they said, “We will not drink wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, ‘You shall not drink wine, you or your sons, forever. [7] You shall not build a...

CHILD FRIENDLY TOTAL OBEDIENCE!

Memory Verse Jeremiah 35:14b “But I have spoken to you again and again, yet you have not obeyed me.”   Total obedience means listening and doing exactly what you're told—without arguing, waiting, or changing the instructions. Do you always obey God? God was very happy with a special family called the Rechabites because they obeyed their father’s instructions for many, many years. They are a great example for us to follow! Who Were the Rechabites? The Rechabites were a traveling tribe (they didn’t live in houses). They were part of a group called the Kenites (see 1 Chronicles 2:55). Their leader, Jonadab, told them: - Don’t drink wine - Live in tents - Don’t plant farms or build houses God told the prophet Jeremiah to invite the Rechabites to the temple and offer them wine. But they said “No!” because they were obeying Jonadab’s command—even though it had been over 200 years since he gave it! God was very pleased with them. He used their obedience to show how His...

Joshua 7 Israel pipol disobey wetin dem tell dem about di tins wey dey Jeriko. Akan wey bi Karmi pikin, wey Zabdi born, wey Zera born from Judah tribe, kon tif some tins from Jeriko, so God kon dey vex for Israel pipol. 2Joshua send men from Jeriko sey make dem go spy Ai town (Ai town dey near Bet-Aven, di east side for Bethel land) e kon tell dem, “Make una go spy di land.” So di men kon go spy di town. 3Dem kom back kon tell Joshua, “Nor send all di sojas go, about two or 3,000 sojas go distroy di whole Ai town. Wetin make Yu take us cross Jordan River kon ...

ACHAN’S SIN!

Joshua 7:1-26 TLB But there was sin among the Israelis. God's command to destroy everything except that which was reserved for the Lord's treasury was disobeyed. For Achan (the son of Carmi, grandson of Zabdi, and great-grandson of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah) took some loot for himself, and the Lord was very angry with the entire nation of Israel because of this. [2] Soon after Jericho's defeat, Joshua sent some of his men to spy on the city of Ai, east of Bethel. [3] Upon their return they told Joshua, "It's a small city and it won't take more than two or three thousand of us to destroy it; there's no point in all of us going there." [4] So approximately three thousand soldiers were sent-and they were soundly defeated. [5] About thirty-six of the Israelis were killed during the attack, and many others died while being chased by the men of Ai as far as the quarries. The Israeli army was paralyzed with fear at this turn of events. [6] Joshua and the...

CHILD-FRIENDLY ACHAN’S SIN!

Memory Verse “Be sure your sin will find you out.” Numbers 32:23   Achan’s sin was like opening a can of worms—a big mess that caused trouble for everyone! God had told the Israelites not to take anything from the city of Jericho after the battle. But Achan didn’t listen. He secretly took a shiny robe, some silver, and gold, and hid them under his tent. What Can We Learn? - Sin affects everyone, not just the person who does it. - You can’t hide anything from God—He sees everything! - Obeying God is always the best choice, even when no one is watching. -Greed and disobedience can lead to trouble. - When we do something wrong, we should confess and ask God to forgive us. This verse reminds us that God sees everything, even the things we try to hide. REFLECTION QUESTIONS 1. Why is it important to obey God even when no one is watching? 2. How can one person’s choice affect others? 3. What should you do if you’ve made a mistake or done something wrong? 4. How...
