PIDGIN GODLY ASSOCIATION MATTER!

Proverbs 13:20 “Follow who get sense waka, so dat yu go get sense too;

but if yu waka with foolish pipol, na trobol go follow yu.

 

Dem dey talk say, “Show me your friends, and I go tell you who you be.” Association matter—but no be just any kind associationna godly association matter pass. Godly association mean say you dey waka close with people wey dey serious to live their life according to God Word and Bible principles. For Christian life, e mean say make you surround yourself with people wey believe in Christ, wey go help you grow spiritually, hold you accountable, and support you to follow God way.

Bible no call fool person wey no get sense, but person wey dey proud and feel say e fit live life without God.

Webster Dictionary for 1913 talk say association na when people join body for one group or society for one particular reason.

Plenty people don fall for wahala because of bad friends, and anybody wey choose wickedness go end up for destruction.

1 Thessalonians call us children of light and day, no be children of darkness or night. So, e suppose show for the kind people wey we dey follow. Good and evil no fit mix, right and wrong no dey blend, light and darkness no dey stay together—one must always win. No matter how strong you think say you be, remember wetin Paul talk for 1 Corinthians 15:33: Make una no deceive una self—if you dey waka with bad people, dem fit spoil your character.

If you dey follow wrong people, you go begin do wetin dem dey do. Foolishness and evil dey influence people just like good and wisdom.

For Numbers 16, ground open swallow many Israelites because dem follow Korah fight God and Moses. Korah influence dem negatively and turn dem against God and Him servant.

If we dey waka with people wey no get the same belief like us, wahala go dey because our values no go match.

Jehoshaphat, wey be godly king, for don die early if God no intervene when he join hand with pagan kings go fight Moab (2 Kings 3). He follow kings wey God no want make him follow.

Exodus 23:2 warn us make we no follow crowd do bad thing. Na wetin crowd dey do be that—dem dey give people fake boldness to do wrong. You need guard your individuality well well because God dey call individuals, no be crowd, to lead the crowd.

Even Apostle Paul, when he still dey fight Christians, no follow crowd—he go him own way until God call am to bring crowd come Christ.

Psalm 26:4 talk say make we avoid wicked people and their plans if we wan serve God with clean heart.

Paul still warn us for 1 Corinthians 5:11 say make we no dey associate with some kind people—even if dem call demself Christians. If dem dey live like people of the world, even inside church, avoid dem.

Bad company dey spoil many people, no matter the area of life. Once you begin follow wrong people, you go begin understand, support, and even fight for their wrong cause—without knowing say you don shift from God standard.

Dem talk say, bad company dey spoil good character!

Proverbs 14:7 talk say make you avoid people wey no fit teach you anything good. Make we dey mix with people wey go help us grow, sharpen us, and encourage us. No follow people wey no understand the weight of your calling and anointing—dem fit damage your destiny.

Follow better people.
