PIDGIN RID YOURSELF OF CLUTTER!
Luke 8:14 “Di seeds wey fall for shuku-shuku, na di pipol wey hear God word, but wahala, plenty propaty and jolly-jolly for dis world kon shuk dem, so di fruit nor even ripe.
You don ever feel like say
everything around you dey choke you? No be say na real hand dey press you, but
na for your mind, spirit, or even body you dey feel am.
This past week, na so I take
feel. Everywhere just dey overwhelm me, small thing dey vex me. E come be like
say person dey squeeze me for body. Na from there I know say I need do some
serious change—first, I remove and arrange some things for my house, and also I
change my plan and how I dey do things. E really help me.
All of us dey get this kind
feeling sometimes. When e happen, make we check well wetin dey bring the wahala
make we fix am quick. If no be so, e fit stop our spiritual growth, peace, and
progress.
To “rid yourself of clutter”
mean say make you pack commot anything wey no dey important, too many things
wey dey confuse everywhere for your space, life, or mind. E mean make you
throway things wey you no need again or stop anything wey dey disturb your
mind, so you fit dey organized and focus.
Clutter dey affect our
spiritual life, whether we gree or not. E no dey end for physical
things—clutter fit be bad habit, worry, to dey too busy, or even laziness, as
Luke 8:14 talk. Hebrews 12:1 still tell us say make we throway anything wey dey
slow us down or sin wey dey hold us back, so we fit run our race for God. To
clear both physical and spiritual clutter go help you follow God purpose well.
Isaiah 26:3 talk say, if
your mind dey for God, you go get perfect peace. Sometimes, na we dey bring
wahala for ourselves—by doing pass wetin we suppose do, or carrying wahala wey
God no send us. We just dey add confusion and plenty load to our life and still
dey hold am, even if e dey hurt us.
All this clutter na
distraction from God, from our calling, and from better life. Matthew 6:19-21
warn us say make we no put our heart for too much possession. Jesus talk say,
“No dey gather treasure for earth… but keep am for heaven… because where your treasure
dey, na there your heart dey.” Too much “load” fit shift your mind from things
wey matter.
We don hear “cleanliness na
next to godliness”—even if Bible no talk am like that, but e still dey for
inside scripture. If everywhere dey full, your mind go still dey busy and
heavy. Na so prayer go hard, you go dey feel stress, like say everything wan fall.
You go just dey manage things, no wan scatter the pile of things wey fit fall.
Na so we dey gather things wey no get use, whether for spirit, body, or
relationship.
We need dey check from time
to time which thing or person we need to let go. Simple life dey sweet and dey
free mind. Always dey pray make God show you how you fit live simple.
Any distraction from God
plan, whether na old habit, load you no need, or wrong way you dey follow, just
let am go.
God want make you enjoy
wetin e give you, even your day. So, throway clutter, e go gree you see road,
get peace, and live well.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- When you last pack old
cloth or paper commot for your room or work desk?
- You get things wey fit
help another person more than e dey help you? You fit give am away?
- You fit notice and commot
habits or thoughts wey dey disturb your peace or mind?
PRAYER: Papa God, abeg show
me the things wey no dey necessary wey I suppose remove from my life, come give
me power to commot am, in Jesus name, amen.
