CHILD-FRIENDLY FOOTPRINTS THAT SPEAK!
Psalm 119:105 KJV
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Have you ever walked on sand and seen your footprints?
Footprints show where you’ve been. In life, our choices and actions also leave
“footprints” that others can see. These footprints tell people what kind of
person we are and if we love God.
The Bible says in Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are
ordered by the Lord.” That means God wants to guide our steps so we leave good
footprints that lead others to Him.
Two Types of Footprints
1. Footprints of Wickedness – People who do wrong things
leave footprints that lead away from God. (Psalm 119:150)
2. Footprints of
Righteousness – Jesus left us an example so we can follow His steps.(1 Peter
2:21)
Which footprints are you leaving? Remember, people are
watching and following your steps—even online! Your words, pictures, and posts
also leave footprints. Do they show Jesus?
How to Leave Godly Footprints
· Follow Jesus’ example (John 13:15)
· Read and obey God’s Word every day (Psalm
119:105)
· Make good choices – Ask, “Does this
honor God?”
· Learn from godly mentors and help
others follow Jesus.
Imagine walking on a beach. Your footprints stay even after
you leave. Someone will step where you stepped. Your choices today can help
others tomorrow. So, make sure your steps lead to Jesus!
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
* Whose footprints am
I following—God’s or the world’s?
* What kind of
footprints am I leaving for others?
* How can I make
better choices that please God?
PRAYER: Lord, guide my steps every day. Help me leave
footprints that lead others to You. Remove anything that does not honour You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom!
