Footprints fit mean the road person dey waka — e show the kind choice wey we dey make, our character, and how our spirit life dey go.

Every step wey we take, dey leave one footprint — whether for body or for spirit. The footprints dey tell story about wetin dey inside our heart, our values, and how close we dey to God. The psalmist warn say, people wey dey pusue evil dey waka for road wey no dey follow God’s law. But as believers, we suppose dey leave footprints wey go help others find righteousness and everlasting life.

Footprint na mark wey leg dey leave, but for spirit matter, e mean the kind impact wey your choice and action dey cause.

Psalm 37:23 say, “God dey order the steps of a good man.” That one show say our footprints suppose follow how God dey guide us. E mean say our waka suppose represent Christ character, make people fit see Christ for our life.

Even though footprint fit be something wey person fit see for ground, for we wey believe, our spiritual footprints talk plenty about our faith pass anything else. That na why Proverbs 4:26–27 say, “Check the road wey your leg dey waka... remove your foot from evil.” In short, make we dey watch where we dey waka go and how we dey waka.

Make we careful where our leg dey carry us go. We no suppose dey everywhere, because every decision we make dey leave trail. People dey watch us, and some go even follow us waka.

Bible talk about two kinds of footprints:

1. Footprints of Wickedness – Psalm 119:150 say People wey dey follow wickedness don far from God law.

Lies plenty for their footprints, them dey compromise, and get selfish mind wey dey carry people comot from God.

2. Footprints of Righteousness – 1 Peter 2:21 say Christ leave example make we follow Him steps.

These ones show integrity, humility, and obedience wey dey lead others go meet Christ and eternal life.

So ask yourself — which kind footprint you dey leave?

For anywhere we dey, our footprints dey strong — e fit make person or spoil person.

That’s why Psalm 119:133 talk say, “Direct my steps according to your word…”

That one mean say make our footsteps dey follow God word. Na so e go be when our footprints go dey influence others for good. A believer life na like map wey another person go use.

Our footprints go become legacy wey people go remember us for.

For this digital age, we even get digital footprints — the kind post, chat or picture wey we dey drop online. The question be, your online footprint dey glorify God?

How we fit leave Godly Footprints?

To follow Christ example (John 13:15).

To waka daily inside God Word (Psalm 119:105).

To dey intentional with our choices and always ask if, “This footprint honour God?”

Get mentors wey go guide you.

Train others (disciple others) make them fit continue the legacy of faith.

Just reason am like person dey waka for beach — your footprints go still dey even after you don go. Person wey dey behind go step for where you step. So spiritually, your choices today fit affect generations wey go come tomorrow.

Make sure say your steps na good example.

As this new beginning don start, check your path well:

Your footprints dey lead people go Christ or dey carry them commot from am?

Commit yourself to dey waka with obedience make your trail turn to testimony.

Your footprints dey talk pass your mouth, so, make sure e tell story of life wey don surrender to Christ.

-        Which footprints I dey follow for my everyday life — God own or the world own?

-        Wetin be the kind spiritual footprints I dey leave for others to follow?

-        How I fit make my step more intentional to waka for the path wey God prepare for me?

PRAYER: Lord, order my steps inside Your Word. Help me leave footprints wey go lead others reach You. Wipe every mark of compromise, and set my path for righteousness. In Jesus name, Amen.
