CHILD-FRIENDLY THE JUDAS GOAT!

Matthew 7:15 GNT

"Be on your guard against false prophets; they come to you looking like sheep on the outside, but on the inside they are really like wild wolves.

 

A Judas goat is a goat trained to lead sheep into danger. The sheep follow it because it looks safe — but it leads them to harm.

The Bible teaches that some things or people can look good, sound nice, or feel normal, but still lead us away from God. Not all danger looks scary.

Examples in the Bible

Eve followed the serpent because he sounded smart.

Absalom used charm to mislead people.

Peter spoke with love but was not thinking like God.

Judas sounded wise but had wrong motives.

How the Enemy Leads Today

He uses: What feels normal. What feels easy. What feels right. What everyone else is doing.

But the Bible warns that some paths seem right but are not God’s way.

How We Stay Safe

Jesus said His sheep know His voice. 

We learn His voice through:

Reading the Bible

Praying

Following godly friends

Obeying God

God shows us wrong influences because He loves us and wants to protect us.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

·       Is anything quietly pulling me away from God?

·       Have I chosen what is easy instead of what is right?

·       How can I listen to Jesus better?

PRAYER: Father, help me see anything that leads me away from You. Teach me to hear and follow Your voice. Remove every wrong influence from my path. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
