CHILD-FRIENDLY KINGDOM CITIZENSHIP!

Psalm 132:13-14 GNT

The LORD has chosen Zion; he wants to make it his home: [14] "This is where I will live forever; this is where I want to rule.

 

Every person belongs somewhere. We all come from a country or nation. In the same way, every believer belongs to a special place called Zion—the place where God lives. Zion is God’s home, God’s city, and the place where His beauty shines. Jesus said in John 15:19 that we are not of this world. That means our real home is God’s kingdom.

Even though we live on earth, God is our highest authority. He is the One who guides our lives and has the final say in everything (Proverbs 16:1). Revelation 3:14 calls Him the Amen—the One whose word is always true.

The Bible says our bodies are God’s temple (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). God created us, Jesus saved us with His blood, and the Holy Spirit lives inside us. That means we are God’s Zion, His special dwelling place. He chose us to belong to Him.

As citizens of Zion, God promises to guide us and help our plans succeed when we trust Him. Isaiah 4:3 says that those who stay faithful will be called holy and their names will be written in the Book of Life.

Just like citizens of a country have rights, citizens of Zion also have blessings. Isaiah 33 says God will fight against anything that harms us. It also says that people in Zion will not say, “I am sick.” Even the weak and the hurting will receive strength and blessings from God.

Jesus is the Cornerstone of Zion. Some people stumble because they do not understand who He is. But for those who believe, He gives hope, strength, and salvation.

Hebrews 12:22–24 says that as citizens of Zion, we have access to God’s presence. We worship with angels and with believers who have gone to heaven.

As Zion citizens, we grow from strength to strength. God helps us become stronger every day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

·       What does it mean to me to be a citizen of God’s kingdom? 

·       How can I show others that I belong to Jesus? 

·       Which blessings of Zion do I want to understand better?

PRAYER: Father, thank You for making me a citizen of Zion. Help me live for You every day. Make me strong, faithful, and full of Your light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
