CONFESS YOUR CHANGE

Isaiah 65:16 NLT

All who invoke a blessing or take an oath will do so by the God of truth. For I will put aside my anger and forget the evil of earlier days.

Proverbs 18:21 says the power of life and death are in the tongue, in our mouths, and our confession. What you say and how you say it matters. We can bless or curse ourselves with our mouth and confession. As Galatians 6:7 says, whatever we sow is what we reap. You can bring a blessing to your life by speaking the positive truth of God’s word, or you can bring a curse by speaking the negative lies of the enemy or the flesh.

Familiar spirits work through our confessions to influence our prophetic utterances and declarations. We must learn, like David said in Psalm 141:3, to guard our mouth and confessions. We must take notice of our words and confession because whatever we sow in words with our mouth is what we reap in manifestations.

The enemy, Satan, always has something to say, but not necessarily good, godly words. Many have believed his words and even parrot them, thereby agreeing with the enemy. But God, on the other hand, is always speaking truth and life. Words can harm and heal, and we must learn to speak the right words. There is power in the right actions and confession.

Being able to do what is right, speak the truth, and confess Christ amid the storm is high-tech spiritual warfare because it puts us in a position where the devil cannot affect us because we have decided to stand and not be moved. Isaiah 3:10 says to tell the righteous that it is well with them. It is indeed well with you if your confession is aligned with the word of the Father.

Having confidence in our confession is key to receiving from God. As 1 John 5:14-15 instructs, every confession must be in line with God’s word. To ask God according to His will means we must pray in line with and confess what the Bible teaches about God’s will for us.

Isaiah 50:7 says to set our faces as a flint, which means to remain focused on God, His word, and promises. This way, we keep confessing the truth and are not distracted. The devil will sometimes make us think the issues we’re facing are normal and natural to keep us from making godly confessions. Sometimes, life will push us to the point where we begin to sound like, “Oh, well, what’s the point?” That’s when we must remember that our fight is not fleshy but spiritual and try not to ever give in or up.

We can choose to agree with the word of God or the lies of the enemy by our confessions. Our confession matters a lot. Our confession can loosen or tighten every bond, depending on what we are confessing. When we confess evil, negative words, they impact our soul. The opposite of this is like a honeycomb, as described in Proverbs 16:24. Our confession may be a life or death sentence, depending on what we keep saying. Matthew 12:37 states it clearly: “Your words now reflect your fate then: either you will be justified by them, or you will be condemned.”

Be sure to always confess your change aligned with God’s word.

PRAYER: Lord may my mouth and heart always confess life and light aligned with your word in Jesus’ name. amen.
