1 Corinthians 14:40 (BBE) 

Let all things be done in the right and ordered way.


A schedule or timetable is a basic time management tool, consisting of a list of times at which tasks, events, or actions are intended to take place, or the chronological order in which they are intended to occur.

Look at your schedule; it’s planned out for the month or year in advance, including everything from sleeping time to holidays. However, often the most important item is missing: the all-important time spent with the Lord.

A well-ordered schedule reflects a disciplined life. By prioritizing time wisely, we align our actions with God’s purpose. Consistent routines build our character and resilience. Through structure, you find the freedom to grow and serve.

Let all things be done decently, in their proper forms, according to their importance. Everything in life and our Christian Walk should be conducted with gravity and composure, suitable to the importance of the things, and the necessity of the souls.

Psalm 29:2 admonishes us to give the glory due unto God’s name. His name is Mercy, His nature is love. Ascribe mercy, love, power, and wisdom to Him.

Ascribe a time and place to the Lord. Do you write in the time with the Lord in your schedule? Have you planned a time and duration to spend in worship, prayer, and the study of the word of God?

Have you scheduled time with the Lord in order? Everything in its place: worship, prayer, study, offering, and evangelism, everything in its time, and everything suitably.

Let all things be done decently and in order. This is a direction for all that concerns our faith and life. How much pain, confusion, and loss would be prevented if we scheduled time for eternal activities that will affect, influence, and benefit us!

Everything in life, industry, civic, and domestic runs on schedules. Imagine the chaos if a train or a machine fell behind its scheduled time. According to Ecclesiastes 3:1-2, no business, trade, art, or science can be carried on to any advantage or comfort unless peculiar attention is paid to it. And as to religion, there can be absolutely none without it.

David says in Psalm 5:3 that he calls on the Lord in the morning, just as the Lord declared in Lamentations 3:22-23 that His mercies are renewed every morning. The Lord scheduled you in His plan, why are you not scheduling Him in yours?

How can you look to the Lord if you don’t have a time of fellowship with Him? Moses spent time with the Lord in Exodus 34:29, and your face will only become radiant according to Psalm 34:5 when you spend time with the Lord.

Most people’s schedules are packed with inconsequential and worthless things according to Ecclesiastes 3:10, like lunch meetings, gym time, beauty consultations, mini-breaks, and holidays—but no scheduled time for spiritually uplifting and enriching activities like retreats, bible study/fellowship, prayer meetings and others.

We make professional and organizational schedules to make us more productive for promotion, which may sometimes fail. But according to Proverbs 16:3, when we commit our works unto the Lord, following His direction and leading, beginning, continuing, and ending in His name, He will make our plans prosper by establishing them.

Faith is nurtured and strengthened when we spend quality time in Bible study, prayer, and worship. When we worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness according to Psalm 29:2, His beauty becomes ours. Check your schedule, does it need reshuffling, overhauling, or you need a new, easy and, Spirit-led one.

PRAYER: Father, help me to maintain a balanced work, ministry and personal life that will leave room for me to enjoy all that you’ve given me in Jesus’ name, amen.
