REFRAME IT

By faith-by believing God-we know that the world and the stars-in fact, all things-were made at God's command; and that they were all made from things that can't be seen.


Reframing generally means to change the way we look at a situation, concept, or problem. It's about shifting our perspective to see things in a new light. This can involve altering our mindset, attitude, or approach to better understand or deal with the issue at hand. Reframing can help us find new solutions, reduce stress, and improve our overall outlook.

Reframe your world if what you have is not aligned with the word of God. For example, if you're facing a challenging task, instead of seeing it as a burden, you might reframe it using the base of God’s word and His promise that His word always works. Reframe it! Whatever it may be in your case can be reframed with the word of God.

God made everything in the universe with nothing but His word and sustains them by His word and power. The same power He gave us to make a decree according to Job 22:28, and it will be established. The enemy is always looking for ways to mess with our lives and destinies, and in some cases, because of ignorance, carelessness, and lack of faith, he may seem to be succeeding. Instead of losing hope, faith, and giving up, we must look into the word of God and realign our lives and destiny with the recreative word of God to reframe it.

Six days was all the Lord needed to frame the earth by His word and all that is in it according to Genesis 1:31. The same word He bestowed on us and put in our mouths as stated in Romans 8:10, powered by the Holy Spirit to give light and birth to whatever we speak. And this promise is from God Himself, who makes the dead live again and speaks of future events with as much certainty as though they were already past, declares Romans 4:17. God’s word gives life to the dead and calls things into existence that do not exist.

Circumstances, challenges, and pain may make us forget the promises of God or think they aren’t working for us, and the enemy will do everything in his power to get us to forfeit not just the word but the promises by speaking contrary to God’s word. God’s words spoken to us are spirit and life according to John 6:63, not just in our mouths but in every situation the word is spoken into. And because the word is living and active, its power to resurrect and revive dead things is within it.

Plagues, volcanoes, earthquakes, floods, and tsunamis have altered lives as far back as biblical times. Nature's fury destroyed the earth, freed slaves, and birthed islands. Jesus used nature as a teaching illustration, revealing how the natural world connects to our human world. He calmed the raging seas, and the earth quaked at His death. Over and over, Scripture uses nature to teach eternal truths about reframing our life, destiny, and world.

Psalm 1:2–3 says meditating on God's Word establishes the Christian like a firm tree planted by water. Matthew 13:31–32 tells us faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains! James 3:5–6 encourages us to be careful of our words as the tongue is like a tiny spark that sets the forest ablaze. That spark is powerful enough to cause light into every dead situation, bringing life to it and reframing it for purpose.

Reframing involves choosing to view life through the lens of Scripture. There's immense freedom in letting go of worldly concerns and embracing what holds eternal value. As writer Anne Lamott beautifully illustrates, true liberation comes when we stop trying to fix everything on our own and instead rely on a higher power—God’s power.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving me your word that can reframe and rebuild by world, even dead things in Jesus’ name, amen.
