DAILY BURDEN BEARER

Psalm 68:19-20 KJV

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. 

[20] He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.


God daily and fully supplies us. He daily bears us and tenderly carries us through the storms of life while seeing to all our needs. Have you ever considered the benefits of being a child of God? Have you ever taken records of the things that you think are part of your package as a believer? Proverbs 16:1-33 will help us understand this phrase clearly. 

The things, privileges, opportunities, favours, and blessings we enjoy as Christians are only through Christ and are not deserved according to Psalm 103:10. Try pulling back from your busy life for a few minutes and ponder all that God has done for, with, through and in you. You may be surprised and encouraged by what you discover. And while the Lord is doing all of these, He bears all our debts and negative impact, and not allow them to finish us off.

King David counted Israel’s benefits, cites, God’s power, and his fatherly compassion over them, then erupts in praise in verse 19.

His reason for such a celebration is in keeping that God’s promise that He “daily loads us with benefits” stands sure.

God daily and fully supplies us with all we need. The issues of life and death are under the control of the God that save and destroys His and our enemies.

God daily loads us with benefits. But what is it that he gives us? What sort of benefits? God's goodness to us is not merely benevolent, in which He wishes us well, but it is beneficence and doing us good. 

His gifts and benefits are deeds of goodness and acts of goodness. He does us good always. He does not only wish us well, and speak to us well, but directs us well. He tenderly and lovingly does us well always. 

Think of what you are, a Christian, God's child and a joint heir with Christ. God says all things are yours, and He guarantees them: preservation to the end, and glory without end after life on earth. 

The many mansions mentioned in John 14:2 is for all those who persevered to the end, a reward for their perseverance and faith. He alone can and does carry us through those trials that we must persevere through.

You have a share in all that Christ has, and is, and died for, the choice is yours to count and appropriate them. 

God is the one who enables us to keep going today and every other day, you can be confident of His concern and powerful care for you. 

God’s daily promise to us says.

• I am your Lord.

• I am your Saviour.

• I daily bear your burdens.

• I daily supply all your needs.

In all our hearts, there ought to be a desire to praise God for all He has done for us. Spend time in the Psalms, allow all the wondrous works of the Lord to be revealed to you, and show you that you have so many reasons to praise the Lord. 

Allow the Psalms to show you all the things about the Lord’s benefits too.

So, we should realize that God daily loads us with wonderful benefits, as He delivers our soul from death, our eyes from tears and our feet from falling according to Psalm 116:8. In this regard, the psalmist proclaims, “What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me?” in Psalm 116:12. Enjoy all of God’s benefit. 

Your salvation is a benefit as well. Praise ye the Lord!

PRAYER: Father, thank you for not only daily bearing my burdens but suppling all my daily needs. Thank you for being my Lord and saviour in Christ’s name, amen.
