BIBLICAL CONNECTION!

John 15:5 AMPC

I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.


Jesus says He is the vine, and we are the branches. The one who remains connected to the vine will bear much fruit. God made man and everything else to accommodate man, not man to accommodate everything. When God wanted to make plants, He spoke to the ground. When He wanted to create sea creatures, He spoke to the waters. Whatever God wanted to make, He made by speaking to the source, the depth of that thing, the very foundation of the thing. As He tells us in Hebrews 11:3, the universe was created by the word of God; everything we now see was fashioned from what is invisible. He made everything from nothing that was already in existence. God made everything we see from within Himself, His spoken word. As He declared it, so it became, and as it became, so it increased, multiplied, and was established. How amazing!

The word of God has and still has recreative power. This recreative power has within itself the sustaining power to sustain and establish anything and everything made with the word of God. By faith, we understand God’s creation!

God created something from nothing, and by faith, we see the divine connection of all of God’s creation. Look at your surroundings, life, and circumstances, and use the word of God as declared in Romans 10:8: “But what does it actually say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ (that is, the good news we have been called to preach to you).” The same power that was and is in God’s spoken word is within us as believers. Speak the word, declare the word as instructed in Job 22:28: if you decree and declare it, the Lord will establish it.

Everything we do in this season must be done in, with, though, and by the word of the Lord. The word of God is our sustaining power, as Ephesians 3:20 states: “Now to the God who can do so many awe-inspiring things, immeasurable things, things greater than we ever could ask or imagine through the power at work in us.” God’s power working in and through believers is unlimited and far beyond our comprehension. Everything God does, and every time we speak the word of God, it is only according to the power of God working with us. That power is working through the Spirit of God with the word of God, and if we exercise that power, we begin to multiply and produce the same way God did and has ordained us to do. We were created to multiply, increase, and be productive according to Genesis 1:28.

We must know how to connect what we declare to the right source and foundation and learn to use the power of the word of God to address, redress, and align situations and circumstances. Divine connection! There are people in life who met us or whom we met without a middleman. Nobody introduced them to us or us to them, but there was a meeting because God divinely ordered it. Relationships are important, but some are more significant than others. Whatever relationship we are in should be founded on divine connection for it to be more positive than negative. Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us we are also called to live in meaningful connection with one another.

We must never allow anyone to disconnect us from the Lord. As Jesus says, we must remain connected to the vine to be all we’re called to be. The word of God is a weapon, it is medicine, it is light, it is power, and it is everything else. Use the weapon in your mouth. Stop roaming around looking for help outside of God; allow God to divinely connect you with the right help.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to make You my best and closest friend. Help me to love You above all others. Help me to devote more of my time to my relationship with You in Jesus’ name, amen.
