DIVINE PROVISION!
Exodus 16:4 TLB
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Look, I'm going to rain down food from heaven for them. Everyone can go out each day and gather as much food as he needs. And I will test them in this, to see whether they will follow my instructions or not.
We see God’s hand of provision at work in the lives of His people in various ways throughout the scriptures, both naturally and supernaturally. Apostle Paul affirms God’s divine provision from personal experience and evidence in Philippians 4:19, stating that God can supply all our needs (providing us with anything and everything we need) according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, not according to our wages, strengths, network, or labour.
God provides for the daily needs of His people. When we struggle, it’s usually because of greed and disobedience, which lead to problems in distribution. 2 Peter 1:3-4 says, “As we know Jesus better, his divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life.” It’s God’s divine power that gives us divine provision as He provides resources from His own character to those who seek Him.
Apart from the scriptural evidence of God’s divine provisions, notable men and women of God have had natural, physical, and supernatural experiences of God’s divine provisions. Here are some of my favourites to encourage us:

Whatever we need is in God’s word, and God can give us all things. As stated in James 1:17, all the good and perfect gifts we have come from the Lord and no one else. God’s character never changes. Psalm 84:11 states that God, in all His magnanimous grace, would never withhold anything from His children, at least the upright ones. For those who trust God and walk in uprightness, the Lord will not withhold any good thing that He has purposed for us, promised us, or laid up for us in covenant. This includes spiritual provisions, no spiritual good thing appertaining to life and godliness, and no temporal blessing that is good for us. He will never deny us any good thing we ask of Him, nor will He withdraw any good thing He has bestowed on us. After all, God’s gifts are irrevocable according to Romans 11:29. So trust that alll your need for the new year will be divinely provided.
Prayer: God my provider, thank you for the confident assurance that whatever I need will be provided when needed, and more than I deserve or expect. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
