LET GO AND LET GOD!
Proverbs 3:4-5 TLB
If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for
good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don't ever
trust yourself.
Letting go and letting God is a spiritual encouragement that
means to release control, worries, or burdens and fully trust in God’s power,
guidance, and provision. It emphasizes surrendering our efforts, fears, or
plans and instead embrace God’s will and presence in our lives. Worry is a sin
just like lying and stealing. Worry, as I always say is paying interest on
borrowed troubles that may never happen. It’s like telling God that He’s not
able to handle your situation, whatever it may be.
But if we trust God with our salvation, why do we find it
difficult to trust Him with our daily needs?
We must have faith in God and not in our thinking or
reasoning and understanding. People who think through everything have
difficulty with faith because reasoning is not faith, and without faith, it’s
impossible to please God as stated in Hebrews 11:6.
Let Go: Release control over situations you cannot change. Let
go of fear, anxiety, pride, or past mistakes. Stop trying to fix everything by
your own strength, you can’t. and surrender your problems, plans, and desires
to God.
Get God: Invite God into your situation fully. Seek His
guidance, peace, and wisdom. Trust His timing and ways, even when you don’t
understand and receive His power, comfort, and presence.
What do you need to let go of today and let God handle it?
How often do we commit our issues to the Lord yet fail to
trust Him to handle them, then we go right back to pick up the issues again and
try our hands at solving them? We start panic praying when we mess things up.
The choice is ours to let go and let God.
Do you want to trust your life to God or keep it yourself?
Make the choice to trust God today by letting go of all the
things you've been holding onto.
Believers are the most blessed people on the planet. We pray
to the God who is also our Heavenly Father. He loves us so much that He won’t
withhold any good thing from us according to Psalm 84:11, just as he didn't
withhold his only son.
When life feels overwhelming, let go and let God means you
stop trying to control everything and instead put your faith fully in God. It’s
about surrendering your worries and receiving His peace, strength, and
solutions. As stated in Psalm 46:10: “Be
still and know that I am God.” Sometimes letting go means being still and
trusting God to act.
You must let go of the steering wheel of your life and let
God take full control so that He can drive you in the path of safety in the
direction He mapped out for you and not just where the wind takes you or wherever
you feel like going.
Remember, only one person can drive a car. In the same way,
only one driver can handle the steering of your life at a time.
It is either God driving, or you are driving you.
Both of you cannot drive at the same time.
Unfortunately, many people prefer being behind the wheel
themselves to letting God drive them.
During times of uncertainties and setbacks, it is easier to
worry than to relax. But be encouraged to relax and allow God to take control
of your now and your future.
Right now, commit your challenges and circumstances to the
Lord. Leave it there and don’t go back
to pick it up. Take your hands off and let go of the wheels of your life and
let God drive. He can do a better job of it than you can.
Let go and let God.
PRAYER: Lord, may I learn to trustingly surrender control of
my life to you completely, for you have a good plan for me in Jesus’ name,
amen.
