DIVINE IMMUNITY 1!

Luke 10:9 AMPC

And heal the sick in it and say to them, The kingdom of God has come close to you.

 

Immunity is protection from something; it is the ability of the body to resist a particular infection by the action of specific white blood cells.

You’ll agree that the enemy used all sorts of gimmicks last year to keep many in bondage, but God is assuring us that He is always near.

When we are immune to a virus or disease, we cannot get infected, even when we come into contact with it.

What then is divine immunity? 

Divine immunity means being protected from sickness, attacks, evil, etc. Divine immunity is security from evil by divine forces. It means heavenly protection and preservation from harm. Divine immunity makes us untouchable by the enemy, as seen in Psalm 91:6-8.

The Lord alone can defend and deliver us; divine immunity is our heritage in Christ Jesus. No man, no vaccine, or medication can grant us divine immunity. Zechariah 2:5 says the Lord will be a wall of fire around us; virtually nothing can pass through fire and survive, especially the consuming fire of God.

The Israelites were divinely immune at the Red Sea, whereas the Egyptians were destroyed, according to Exodus 14:28-29. As children of God, we must know that our protection is from God and that He will not allow any evil to befall us. As Psalm 73:5 says, “We are not in trouble as others are, nor stricken like the rest of mankind.”

All kinds of diseases, sicknesses, and viruses came, and it seemed everyone—without discrimination—was testing positive for these, but because of the blood of the Lamb, we test positive for faith always. God always separates His children from the plans of the enemy, as seen in Exodus 8:22-23 and Deuteronomy 7:15.

God has not only promised us divine immunity, He will also contend and fight with whatever comes against us, according to Psalm 35:1-3.

Because God has forgiven us, that forgiveness immunizes us and takes away the lasting effects of sin. Even though we make mistakes that bring consequences, His forgiveness gives assurance that our mistakes do not define us, and there is still hope for a better future. The Israelites were a people of many sins and imperfections, but for God to look at them and see nothing wrong, that is the power of God’s forgiveness at work. That is exactly how the Lord looks at us and grants us immunity.

We could be the nicest people, yet someone will still be angry at us for being nice. That’s just the way the world is.

There are still people today who practice witchcraft, even some who call themselves Christians. It is a form of witchcraft when people try to control and dictate our lives and destinies for their own advantage. When they speak negatively against our future and our plans, consistently trying to discourage us and keep us from rising, this is spoken of in Numbers 22:6.

Divine immunity is for every child of God; no one who belongs to Him is excluded from His protection—even the devil recognizes this, as seen in Job 1:1-10. However, we must live and walk in the light of this truth and believe that we cannot be conquered.

When we speak the promises of God often, we find the power to become divinely immune to everything contrary to God’s plans and purpose for us.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

-         What does “divine immunity” mean to you, and how does it affect the way you live your daily life?

-         Are there areas of your life where you feel vulnerable or unprotected? How can you invite God's divine covering into these areas?

-         Scripture says God is a “wall of fire” around His people in Zechariah 2:5. How can this truth shape your attitude toward fear or threats?

-         Do you regularly declare God’s promises of protection over yourself and your family? What new declarations can you begin to make?

PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for assuring me of your presence always, to keep me immune to every attack of the enemy, in Jesus’ name.
