CHILD-FRIENDLY BE WHERE THE LORD NEEDS TO MEET YOU
Memory Verse: “That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream.” — 1 Kings 3:5
What Does This Mean?
God wants to talk to us, help
us, and bless us—but we need to be in the right place to hear Him.
That place can be:
- Church
- Prayer time
- A quiet moment with
God
- A special event like a
retreat or conference
Why Is It Important?
- God has special plans for
each of us.
- Sometimes, He wants to
meet us in a specific place to give us wisdom, peace, or direction.
- Just like Solomon, who met
God in Gibeon, we need to be ready and willing to go where God calls us.
Bible Example: Solomon
Solomon was a king who
needed wisdom.
He went to Gibeon, a special
place where God was waiting to meet him.
There, God spoke to Solomon
in a dream and gave him wisdom because Solomon was in the right place and had a
humble heart.
What Can We Learn?
- Be ready to listen to
God.
- Be present in places where
God speaks—like church, prayer time, or Bible study.
- Sometimes we need to make
sacrifices (like giving up time or distractions) to meet with God.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. Are you spending time in
places where God can speak to you?
2. What can you do to be
more ready to hear from God?
3. Have you ever felt God
speak to you during prayer or church?
4. What do you need from God
right now, and are you willing to meet Him where He calls you?
PRAYER: Dear God, help me to
be in the right place where You want to meet me. Teach me to listen, obey, and
follow You. I want to hear Your voice and receive Your blessings. Amen.
Shalom
