PIDGIN MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU!
2 Korintians 12:7-9 “about di betta tins wey I si for vishon. Make I for nor dey karry body up, God put sometin inside mi, wey bi Satan messenja, so dat e go dey trobol mi. 8Na three times I ask Christ sey, make e take dis tin komot from my body. 9But e tell mi, “Di grace wey I give yu strong rish, bikos my pawa dey show wen yu dey weak.” So, I go boast well-well about how I nor dey strong, so dat Christ pawa go dey show for my body.
Nothing for this world or
anything wey dey natural go ever satisfy human desires. People always dey look
for the next thing wey fit satisfy their needs. But the Lord, wey dey for
heaven, talk say His grace go always be enough for us, no matter where we dey,
who we be, or who we with. Him grace dey always enough!
Some things, situations, or
people go test our strength, patience, and endurance. No matter how patient we
try be, e get one person or thing wey go still make us wish or pray for more
patience.
Many times, we dey find more
grace when life storm dey come. Sometimes we dey look for easy solution when e
be like say God don forget us or no dey hear us.
Wherever you dey for
life—whether na mountain top, valley, or bush—God grace go always dey available
to carry you go through.
“My grace is sufficient!”
Paul talk say God grace “is sufficient” — present time; e always dey there when
we need am and when we accept am. Paul talk say God power dey always balance
with grace, and Him power perfect for our weakness. Like Paul weakness, na so
God power dey show.
This one show say God grace
and power dey available for every believer inside any time, season or trial.
When trouble reach you, God fit help you pass am. No wahala, whether na
physical, emotional or spiritual no too big for God.
God grace and power dey
available for everybody! God na EL-SHADDAI — “all sufficient God” according to Genesis
17:1b.
We no sabi wetin Paul thorn
be, but we read say e ask God three times to carry am comot. Instead God tell
am say grace go be enough. Paul no give up because thorn dey pain am, God give
am grace to manage am and continue.
That thorn keep Paul humble
and e no proud. Maybe God dey use the thorn wey dey pain you to keep you humble
and depend on am.
Like God give Paul grace to
handle thorn pain, God fit do same for you if you allow grace to be enough for
you.
Sometimes trial no mean God
dey punish us, e be thorn to keep us humble. We fit know the spirit wey dey
trouble us if we get eye to see as 1 John 4:1 talk.
God talk to Moses and
Israelites say if dem no comot Canaan people for land, those people go be thorn
for dem side according to Numbers 33:55.
Paul no vex thorn or God.
Plenty people dey vex God say e no save dem as dem think. But like Paul, thorn
suppose make us weak and depend on God. The weaker we be, the stronger God
power dey inside us.
Our weakness na chance for
God to show His glory and power, through grace. His grace dey enough and power
dey for us. No suffer away from God grace.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- Which thorn you dey
experience, and which challenge you think say God suppose comot?
- How God grace don show say
e fit supply you for challenge and wahala?
- For which situation you
fit see God grace as punishment or gift? If na so, you go accept am?
- How God sufficient grace
don shape how you dey react, act, and face wahala?
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You
for Your grace wey dey give me peace as I dey learn to depend on and trust You
more to take me through all life storm through Christ power, amen.
