CHILD-FRIENDLY NOW THAT YOU ARE HERE!
Isaiah 43:18-19 GNT
But the LORD says, "Do
not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. [19] Watch
for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already-you can see it now!
I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.
Happy New Year!
Welcome to a brand-new year!
God is doing something new in your life. The new year is not just about
January—it can be a new beginning every day when we trust God!
Many people make New Year’s
resolutions—promises to do better. But sometimes those promises don’t last.
That’s why we need God’s help!
God Has a Plan for You
Jeremiah 29:11 says: “I know
the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future.”
Psalm 37:5 says: “Commit
your way to the Lord; trust Him and He will act.”
Start Fresh with God
The Bible tells us to:
·
Put off the old self (Ephesians 4:22–24)
·
Be transformed in your mind (Romans 12:2)
·
Think in new and right ways by reading God’s
Word
Why Do We Need God’s Help?
Sometimes we try to be
better but fail. Even Paul said: “I want to do what is good, but I cannot carry
it out” (Romans 7:18). That’s why we need Jesus every day!
Psalm 65:11 says: “God
crowns your year with goodness.” When we obey Him, He blesses us (Deuteronomy
7:13).
Memory verse: Isaiah 43:18–19 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!"
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
-
What old habits do I need to leave behind?
-
How can I make sure my plans include God?
-
How can I trust God when things feel hard?
-
How can I stay close to God all year, not
just in January?
PRAYER: Thank You, Lord, for
giving me a new year and a new start. Help me trust You and follow Your plans
every day. Bless my year with Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
