CHILD-FRIENDLY WHY!
Isaiah 45:11 ICB
The Lord is the Holy One of
Israel, and its Maker. He says this: "You ask me about what will happen.
You question me about my children. You give me orders about what I have made.
How many times do we say the
word “why” every day? Why this? Why that? Why me? Sometimes we ask “why” so
much that we don’t even notice it. If we counted all our “whys,” we would see
how often we want to understand everything and stay in control.
We also ask God many “whys.”
Why did this happen? Why didn’t You stop it? Why must I do this? Why me? But
when we question God from a place of doubt, it shows that we are struggling to
trust Him. Romans 8:28 says God works all things for our good, but we don’t
always believe it. Instead of trusting His plan, we question His timing and His
decisions.
Instead of asking “why,” we
should learn to say, “Lord, I trust You.”
God does not have to explain
everything to us. If He wants us to understand something, He will show us. We
do not need to know everything because we cannot know everything. 1 Corinthians
13:9 says our knowledge is incomplete. God sees the whole picture, but we only
see a small part.
So, our job is simple: trust
God.
Life can feel unfair. Things
happen that we don’t like or don’t understand. But asking “why” repeatedly does
not help us grow. The Bible teaches us not to question God in a rebellious way.
He is the Potter, and we are the clay. He knows what He is doing, even when we
don’t.
Instead of blaming God for
everything, we should look at our own choices. Why is the world full of sin?
Why do people ignore God’s ways? Why do we call wrong things right? Before we
question God, we should ask ourselves these questions.
