COMPLIANCE!
Luke 22:42 AMP
saying, “Father, if You are
willing, remove this cup [of divine wrath] from Me; yet not My will, but
[always] Yours be done.”
Compliance is more than
obedience; it is the joyful alignment of the heart, mind, and actions with the
will of God. In Scripture, compliance is not passive submission but active
partnership with the purposes of Heaven. It is the posture that says, “Lord,
not my will, but Yours be done”. When a believer embraces compliance, they step
into a life where divine instruction becomes the pathway to divine
manifestation.
From the beginning, God has
always required His people to walk in alignment with His voice. In Deuteronomy
28:1, the Lord declares, “If you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your
God… the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”
Compliance unlocks elevation. It positions a believer to receive what God has
already prepared.
True compliance begins in
the heart. God does not delight in outward obedience that lacks inward
agreement. This is why He said to Israel, “These people honour Me with their
lips, but their hearts are far from Me” in Isaiah 29:13. Compliance is not
ticking spiritual boxes; it is surrendering the heart to the leadership of the
Holy Spirit.
King David understood this.
After his fall, he prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God… then I will
teach transgressors Your ways” in Psalm 51:10–13. David knew that compliance
flows from a transformed heart. When the heart is yielded, obedience becomes
natural.
Many believers struggle with
compliance because they do not fully trust God’s intentions. Yet Proverbs 3:5–6
reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He shall direct your
paths.” Compliance is impossible without trust. You cannot follow a God you do
not trust, and you cannot trust a God you do not know.
Abraham is a powerful
example. When God instructed him to leave his country, his family, and
everything familiar (Genesis 12:1–4), Abraham complied without knowing the
destination. His trust in God’s character empowered his obedience. Because of
his compliance, he became the father of nations.
When God gives an
instruction, it is not to burden us but to empower us. Every divine instruction
carries divine backing. In John 2:5, Mary told the servants at the wedding in
Cana, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Their compliance activated the miracle
of water turning into wine.
Similarly, Peter experienced
supernatural provision when he complied with Jesus’ unusual instruction to cast
his net again after a night of failure in Luke 5:4–6. Compliance turned
frustration into abundance.
Disobedience is costly. Saul
lost his throne because he partially obeyed God as seen in 1 Samuel 15:22–23.
Partial obedience is disobedience. Compliance protects destiny by keeping a
believer aligned with God’s timing, direction, and covering.
Jonah’s story also reveals
the danger of resisting divine instruction. His refusal to comply led to a
storm, fear, and delay. Yet when he finally aligned himself with God’s will, an
entire city was saved (Jonah 3:1–10). Compliance not only protects your destiny—it
impacts the destinies of others.
Jesus said, “If you love Me,
keep My commandments” in John 14:15. Compliance is not legalism; it is love
expressed through obedience. When a believer truly loves God, obedience becomes
a delight, not a burden.
Jesus Himself modelled
perfect compliance. Philippians 2:8 says He “became obedient to the point of
death, even the death of the cross.” His compliance brought salvation to the
world. Our compliance brings transformation to our lives and glory to God.
Psalm 1:1–3 describes the
compliant believer as a tree planted by rivers of water, bringing forth fruit
in season. Compliance positions you in the flow of divine nourishment. It
ensures that your life becomes fruitful, stable, and prosperous.
When you comply with God’s
Word, you do not struggle to produce results—the results naturally flow from
your alignment.
