PIDGIN: BOUNTIFULLY BLESSED
Proverbs 22:9 “Do good and share yor food with poor pipol, den God go bless yu.
When we dey bountifully
blessed, e mean say we get more than enough to share wetin we get. Sharing na
to give part of wetin we get to others, dey partake something with others, or
dey grant something to others.
We all learn as children to
share. Even now, sometimes we dey receive instructions from loved ones,
friends, and maybe leaders to share our things, good fortunes, talent, and
skills with others. Because love na sharing!
You dey share? You be one of
those wey dey struggle to give to others, share small with those around you,
and ignore the needs wey dey stare you for face? For most people, sharing still
dey difficult thing to do. E hard to share both ourselves and our resources.
I find for the last few
months say sharing dey come very naturally and easily for some people, while
others dey pretend say you dey okay and therefore need no help.
Galatians 6:2 talk say make
we share each other’s troubles and bear each other’s burdens; I suspect say
that one include offering any help wey dey within our power and capacity to do.
We dey instructed for Hebrews 13:16 to share physically, materially, and
financially with those around us, and dey good in sharing wetin we get
sacrificially to please God.
All through the scriptures,
we dey see God’s example of sharing in the way He love us, sharing His peace,
comfort, forgiveness, and salvation with us wey no deserve am. That na the same
way He expect and want us to share anything and everything with others.
You fit talk say, “I no get
enough to share, I no make enough money for myself to share with others.” 2
Corinthians 9:7 talk say make we no share reluctantly but instead make we
quantify how much of, what, who, and when to give and share. God desire say we
go want to give to others out of gratitude and love for Him. When we share from
the heart, wetin we share no dey relevant most times as e dey done out of love.
Because sharing na caring!
Sharing dey benefit those
around us more than we fit ever imagine. Imagine say you dey reluctant to share
your meal with someone for work because them work as you do and fit afford
food, when that meal fit well be the only one them get for the day. We must
learn to wrap our sharing in seed form to avoid shame and embarrassment.
Among the crowd wey Jesus
minister to for John 6:1-10, some never chop all day, those wey no get food for
house or money to buy some, yet one small boy willing to share e packed lunch
of five loaves and two fish. The crowd no deter am from sharing e meal with
Jesus, or he fit think, “Why, how I fit share my meagre meal with the prophet?”
But because of this boy’s love of sharing, thousands chop.
We see one lovely image of
sharing for Acts 2:42-47. The community, the body of Christ, and the family of
God no lack anything because people willing to share everything. You no fit
tell who get too much or too little because them love and live as one, and get
all things in common, with each person sharing voluntarily.
Sometimes we no dey share
because we assume say them no deserve am, but our duty to God and man na to
share from loving heart. If the Lord don bless you bountifully, then share
some, so you fit make room for more of wetin you give from, as stated for Leviticus
26:9-10. Sharing dey portray caring!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you
for increasing me bountifully on all sides. Help me to be generous in giving
and sharing of my bountiful blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
