No matter how person big reach, na only wetin dey available e fit use do something. You no fit sew full adult cloth with just one meter material-e no possible. Dis “cut your coat according to your cloth” no dey Bible word for word, but e mean say make we live according to wetin we get and use our sense well.

Our text show say, if you dey owe, na wahala you dey put yourself. Money fit do better thing or bad thing, but if you dey owe, you go dey pay interest, and e fit tie you down. E go make you dey struggle, you no go fit move anyhow or grab better opportunity. But still, many people dey spend money wey no be their own, just to belong or do pass their power. Na so dem dey try use small material sew big cloth.

Bible dey always tell us make we use sense for everything we dey do. Proverbs 21:20 talk say, “Wise people dey keep better food and oil, but mumu people go chop everything finish.” E mean say make we dey save, no dey waste, and manage our money well. No dey buy wetin you no need or wetin your hand no reach.

To “cut your coat according to your cloth” mean say make you plan your life with wetin you get, no dey chase wetin you no fit afford. E mean make you live within your level, no dey spend pass your power, and adjust your plan to match your situation.

1 Timothy 6:6 talk say, “Godliness with contentment na big gain.” If person lose work, e go need cut down expenses, no dey buy wetin e no need-na so e go “cut e coat according to e cloth” to avoid wahala.

Jesus talk am for Luke 14:28: “If you wan build house, you no go first count your money to see if e go reach finish am?” E mean say, make you plan well before you start anything.

To manage your money well go help you avoid debt, as Bible talk for Proverbs 6:6-8 and 1 Timothy 6:6-10. Make we focus on things wey get value for heaven, no just dey pursue material things, as Matthew 6:25 and Luke 12:15 talk.

The story of the prodigal son for Luke 15:11-16 show wetin fit happen if you no “cut your coat according to your cloth.” The boy waste all e money, end up for wahala.

Even though Bible dey encourage faith and generosity-like how Jesus feed five thousand people for John 6 and the “enlarge your tent” for Isaiah 54-e no mean make we live careless or no use sense. E just mean say sometimes, faith go make you trust God, but you still need to use wisdom manage wetin you get.

So, make we use our sense, manage wetin we get, and always remember to “cut our coat according to our cloth.”
