PIDGIN THE WORD ON COURAGE!

Joshua 1:9: “I dey tok again, so dat yu go dey strong kon get heart! Make yu nor fear or shake, bikos mi wey bi di Oga yor God, I dey with yu for evritin wey yu dey do”

 

Courage na when person fit do wetin e know say na right and good, even if e no easy or people around no support am. Courage na wetin dey help us move pass fear, because fear fit make person freeze. Courage no mean say fear no dey, but e make fear no fit stop us. Courage dey give us confidence say we fit succeed.

True courage no be say you no dey fear at all, but say you trust God and still do wetin right, even if you dey fear.

Where courage dey come from? E dey come when we remember say God promise to help us anytime, we need am—He dey with us always according to Deuteronomy 20:1. This one suppose give us boldness to face anything wey come our way. Sometimes, the most courageous thing to do na to waka comot or run, if na that one go brings better result.

Courage dey come from faith and trust for God. When we believe say God dey with us, dey protect and guide us, fear no go get power again.

We no dey live alone. Wetin we do dey affect others, and wetin others do fit affect us too. If we forget to trust God or we no put am for our matter, e fit affect how we go encourage others as Deuteronomy 20:8 talk. You dey fear tomorrow? Why you no try trust God for every situation? As you dey trust God, you fit encourage yourself and others too.

Why I go fear? Wetin Psalm 27:1 ask. True courage dey come from God. God strong pass any enemy wey fit show face: "for the Lord your God dey with you anywhere you go".

Dem dey talk say nothing dey to fear except fear itself. Na true talk. Sometimes, we dey fear big change as we see for Genesis 46:3-4. But sometimes, na God plan be that. If na God plan, e go bring you joy wey pass wetin you expect.

Mordecai no gree bow—him courage come from him faith for God. E get mind stand alone. To do right thing no dey always make person popular as we see for Esther 3:2. People wey dey do right dey always small, but to obey God better pass to obey people according to Acts 5:29.

Fear of wetin we no know na like fear of darkness—we dey fear because we no sabi wetin dey ahead. We dey worry more for wetin we no see than wetin we see. Our real strength and courage suppose dey in God. God go give us the light when we need am at the right time according to Psalm 27:1.

Make e give us courage say, even for wahala time, God dey near us, ready to give us love and comfort. We dey get more courage if we dey waka with strong friend as Isaiah 41:10 talk.

If you wan lose courage because of crowd, remember Pilate for Luke 23:13-25. Pilate suppose make strong decision but because of crowd noise, e lose courage and follow them. Remember say the right decision fit get wahala—people fit reject you, job fit spoil, or people fit laugh you—but true courage dey come from God, so make we always trust God.

Wrong na wrong even if everybody dey do am; right na right even if nobody dey do am. E dey take courage to do the right thing.

PRAYER: Lord God, abeg give me courage to always do the right thing, no matter wetin, without fear or compromise, for Jesus name. Amen.
