PIDGIN BECOMING FLESH!

John 1:12-14 “But evribody wey receive and bilive en name, e go give dem di rite to bi God pikin. 13Dem go bi God shidren, nor bi as dia papa and mama take born dem from belle, or bikos somebody make dem so, but bikos God ensef make dem en own shidren.

14Den di Word kon shange to pesin and e stay with us for dis world. Wi si en glory wey show sey, naim bi di only pikin wey get korrect favor and trut, wey God send kom meet us.

 

Most of us dey like meat in different ways—some like am rare, some like am well done, some like am soft for mouth. But anyhow we like our meat, na so we dey enjoy am, even if another person no like am that way.

The Word (Jesus) na flesh for us to chew and live on. Jesus become flesh—e turn human being. E no remain spirit, e come down from heaven come this earth.

The idea say Jesus, the Word of God, come become flesh, leave the spiritual, eternal and heavenly side of God, come enter this our everyday human world, na wonder and surprise together.

Jesus become flesh, come live among people wey e create, feel wetin dem dey feel, see, experience pain, wahala, betrayal, condemnation and finally death. E show us say sacrifice dey important for spiritual things, but e still get reward for both earth and heaven. James 1:12 talk say anybody wey stand strong and pass life test go get reward, crown.

But before we reach the reward, we gats allow Jesus, the Word of God, to become flesh inside us and dey live for our heart.

Until we allow the word to become flesh—dey chop am, dey talk am, dey meditate on am every day—we no go fit see the power of the word or the victory wey dey inside. The word no go just work for us unless e dey inside us and become one with us.

We gats receive the word as verse 12 talk, so we go get the right, power, and privilege to use am for anything we need.

Jesus name, Emmanuel—God with us—as Matthew 1:23 talk, show say e no be just ordinary word. Revelation 19:11 talk say, na the spirit of the word wey become flesh inside us dey bring prophetic testimony.

You don ever ask yourself why Jesus need come as flesh? Why God wey create everything gats turn human being?

Na so Hebrews 4:15 go fit happen. As our high priest and Saviour, Jesus gats put himself for our shoe, so e go fit represent us well. E know wetin e mean to dey tempted every day, so e fit understand us, help us overcome temptation and make us mature for spirit as James 1:1-4 talk.

God become human! Jesus carry real body and real feelings. E born, e grow, e feel hunger, pain, joy, and sorrow.

E live among us! God come pitch Him tent with us. God no far, e come near.

Na only when the word become flesh for our life we go dey receive revelation from the Father, powered by the word as John 17:25-26 talk.

To dey meditate on the word na key to fit access the word and the instruction wey dey inside for success—Joshua 1:9. Even if e look small to dey meditate, the power wey dey inside the word fit scatter stronghold.

If Christ no become flesh and dey live inside us, we no go fit confess am as Christ. 1 John 4:1-3 talk say anybody wey no fit confess say “Jesus Christ don come as flesh” no be from God, na antichrist.

Jesus no just become flesh for us, but as John 6:51 talk, e be the bread wey come down from heaven, the living bread wey dey satisfy anybody wey believe and allow am dey live and show for their life. Chew the fleshy meat of the word and live.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank You say You become flesh and come live among us. Help us to know You more, trust You deeper, and reflect You better. Amen.
