PIDGIN HUMAN MANNEQUINS!

Genesis 1:26-27 “Den God sey, “Make wi kreate human being like Awasef, just as wi bi, so dat dem go bi oga ova di fish dem for sea and di birds for di sky, plus di kattles and ova di whole eart plus evritin wey dey inside.” 27So God kon kreate human being like ensef; as God bi, na so E kreate dem; both man and woman, na-im E kreate.

 

 

For dis our world today, na so so words like modify, upgrade, transition and change we dey hear when e reach human beings matter. Everybody just dey focus on how dem go take fine for outside, dem fit do anything just to look “perfect”. But make we talk true, na lie! Nobody fit perfect like dat.

Dis “human mannequin” wey we dey talk about, na just empty body wey no get life, e dey stand like human but e no be human. For Bible and Christian teaching, mannequin mean person wey dey empty for spirit, e no dey real, e just dey do like say e holy but inside e no get God life at all. Dem dey look correct for outside, but inside dem empty. Na wetin Jesus talk about for Matthew 23:27, say Pharisees be like whitewashed grave—fine for outside but na dead bone full inside. Na so mannequin be, na person wey dey go church, dey do all the religious things but e no get Christ for inside am.

For 1 Samuel 16:7, God talk say e no dey see like how man dey see. Man dey look face, but God dey look heart, intention and wetin dey your mind. Mannequin na something wey dem go dress, arrange and pose anyhow dem want, but e no get heart—of course, e no fit get heart.

God no create mannequin, na human being e make in Him own image and likeness. But this world wan make us believe say we fit change to anything we like. Why? Because devil wan get people wey e fit dey control like mannequin, dey change dem anyhow, dey confuse dem say na so life suppose be. E wan make people dey doubt whether God really dey.

When we come lose the sense, identity, and wisdom wey God give us? When we come dey think say we fit just be anything we like, even when e no fit work for spirit or body? When we come dey manufacture our own type of “human being”? Na because we don dey believe devil lie!

Even Christians self don join dey run after all these fine-fine things for outside. 1 Peter 3:3-4 talk am, say all these outside packaging fit deceive, but na inside God dey look. Wetin we suppose dey pursue na how our inside go dey better, because na dat one God and society suppose dey value.

God mould man from dust, e no use recycled material. Isaiah 64:8 talk say God be potter, we be clay. Na God get the patent for human being, nobody get right to change wetin God create. Genesis 2:7 talk say God breathe Him own breath put for man body, na dat breath dey make difference.

John 10:35 talk say Bible no fit break, Numbers 23:19 talk say God no dey lie, so e mean say every part of human body—man and woman—na God arrange am specially. Psalm 139:13 for Message Bible talk say: 

 “Yes, na You first shape me inside, before outside; You form me for my mama belle. I thank You, Baba God—you too much! Body and soul, na wonder You take make me! I dey worship You—see as You create me! You sabi me from head to toe; You know how You take mould me, small small, from nothing to something. Like open book, You dey watch me as I dey grow from belle till I born; all my life story dey Your hand.”

If God wan make robot or mannequin, e for do am, but e choose to make man in Him own image.

Plenty man-made mannequins full everywhere now, but no matter how dem try, dem no fit replace or pass wetin God make. We dey fearfully and wonderfully made, we no need upgrade or modification, because na God image we carry.

PRAYER: Baba God, open my eye make I fit see where I don turn mannequin—empty, no get Your life. Touch me again, breathe Your life inside me, in Jesus name, amen.
