PIDGIN JESUS WEY DEY FEEL OUR PAIN!
Hebrews 4:14-16 “Jesus wey bi God Pikin, na-im bi awa High Priest wey don go heaven. Make wi hold am tait and always dey bilive am. 15Dis awa High Priest undastand us wen wi dey weak, bikos all dis temptashon wey wi dey face so, e face dem too, but e nor sin. 16Make wi nor fear to enter where God throne dey: di place where grace dey, so dat wi go get mesi and God grace go help us wen wi nid help
Empathy mean say you fit
understand and feel wetin another person dey go through—because you don waka
the same road before. Jesus Christ na our perfect empathizer: as our High
Priest, e dey inside everything wey we dey experience, e dey feel exactly as we
dey feel.
No be everybody sabi really
feel for others. Some people no even know how to do am, some no just care about
another person wahala. Sometimes when we dey share our problem, people go talk
say, “You no go understand,” or “You no fit imagine wetin I dey pass through.”
But one person dey wey no just know how you dey feel, e understand, e
appreciate, and e don waka that road before you—na Jesus. As Hebrews 7:26,
Isaiah 53:3-5, and 2 Corinthians 5:21 talk, Jesus don experience everything we
dey face, and even pass am.
Jesus feel, see, and
understand every wahala wey human being dey face. E experience tiredness,
disappointment, and serious pain. E face betrayal (Judas), denial (Peter), and
wahala from religious leaders. Wetin we dey pass through, Jesus don pass
through am before, so e fit really feel for us and with us.
E face temptation for every
way, just as we dey face am, but e no sin. E be human, but e still remain God—e
no get sin for body, as 1 John 3:5 talk. Even though e born from woman, e no
carry that sin wey dey for human being.
When we fall for temptation
and waka from God, Jesus dey call us make we come boldly to Him throne of
grace. No run from God when you dey suffer, face wahala or persecution.
Instead, make you approach am with humble confidence, trust say e go show you
mercy and compassion. E dey wait, e dey willing, and e dey ready to help, save,
and deliver us.
As our High Priest, Jesus
make peace for our sins—not to show say e no fit sin, but to help us come out
from our wahala. When you feel say nobody understand you, remember say Jesus
don feel every emotion and pain wey you dey feel.
Jesus’ empathy dey change
how we fit relate to other people pain. E dey comfort us for our own pain, and
e show us example how to love others well. Jesus no just dey feel for us—e dey
feel with us. As Hebrews 4:15 talk, e be High Priest wey understand our
weakness because e don face every kind wahala wey we dey face, but e no sin.
So, anytime we dey suffer, we no dey alone; Jesus truly dey with us and
understand us.
Jesus’ empathy no be just to
feel, e dey make am take action. For the story of the bent-over woman (Luke
13:10-17), Jesus see her pain, understand am, and e do something to help her.
This one show us say true empathy go make us care and help others, no be just
to talk am.
Throne of grace dey wait for
us. Make we dey go am boldly, dey call God for mercy. We fit talk to our Maker
without fear, because na only Him fit help us overcome our struggle, and na Him
word dey give us strength.
To dey grow for empathy na
choice and skill we fit learn. If we follow Jesus example, we go try understand
others, dey observe, and dey respond to their need with compassion and
presence.
PRAYER: Baba God, thank You
say I fit come to You, knowing say You understand everything wey I dey go
through. I dey blessed because Your compassion no dey ever fail. In Jesus name,
Amen.
