PIDGIN SPIRITUAL POTENTIAL!

Galatians 5:24-25 “Pipol wey dey inside Christ don kill dia flesh with all di bad tins wey di flesh dey like to do. 25If di Holy Spirit dey inside us, den make wi dey live awa life as di Holy Spirit wont.

 

Life get many things wey people dey try grow—like knowledge, money, health and many more. But how many of us dey really try grow our spiritual potential? Spiritual potential mean the natural ability wey dey inside everybody to grow, develop, and show your spiritual self. Na the power to change, to dey become like how God want make you be, and to understand your purpose for life.

Everybody get different spiritual potential for Christian work, and this potential dey different according to the gift wey God give each person, and the opportunity wey come your way. But for Christian character, all of us get the same potential—to be like Christ. We get the potential to produce full harvest of the "fruit of the Spirit". As you dey look each of these qualities—love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, meekness, faith, self-control—you fit think say, "this one pass my power." But na lie! Na your spiritual potential be that. You fit bear fruit.

If we dey live by the Spirit—if we say we believe for spiritual matter—make we dey walk by the Spirit. Make our life and talk show say the Spirit of God dey inside us.

Everybody get spiritual potential, whether you don start to use am or not. E dey inside you because God create you with am. To reach your spiritual potential mean say you dey grow for your spiritual life, dey bear fruit, and dey use the gift wey God give you to help others and bring glory to God.

God dey look us according to our spiritual potential; na why sometimes God allow us face challenge wey dey look bigger than us. 

"And they wey belong to Christ—All true Christians don crucify the flesh—dem no dey obey wetin flesh dey talk; dem don nail their bad habit for cross with Christ. The inner life suppose control the outside life, make we no dey jealous or dey compete with each other."

Christian relationship with God na personal, no be only group or church matter (that one na another relationship). For Bible, God dey always call people by their spiritual potential—like Gideon for Judges 6:12-13. The angel tell am: "The Lord dey with you, mighty man of valour." God dey choose people wey He don already prepare for Him work. Just like Gideon, we no fit reach our full spiritual potential by our own power. E go happen as we surrender to God and allow Holy Spirit to guide and give us strength.

Personal Check

You fit check yourself: 

- How much of your spiritual potential you dey use? 

- You dey bear fruit? 

- You dey see sign say you dey become more like Christ? 

- You don see change for your relationship with God, with people, and even with yourself?

Growth for Christian life na to dey grow for these areas. The fruit of the Spirit suppose dey show and dey mature for our life.

How much of your spiritual potential dey show for your Christian life? People fit see Jesus Christ for your life? You need to tell yourself say from today, you go dey follow only Holy Spirit direction, and you go depend on Him to make you like Christ. As you do am, people wey know you go begin see the miracle of Christ-like life for you. Your spiritual potential no dey for where you dey or wetin you don make yourself, but for who God call you to be.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I thank You say You don give me the power wey dey set me apart for Your purpose and glory. Na Jesus name I pray, amen.
