PIDGIN THE THREE YOU!

Genesis 1:27 “So God kon kreate human being like ensef; as God bi, na so E kreate dem; both man and woman, na-im E kreate.”

 

God make us in Him own image and likeness, which mean say we dey special and we dey reflect Him in important ways. When we dey talk about "the three you", wetin we mean be say three different parts dey wey make up who you really be. Na these three parts dey:

1. The You Wey Everybody Dey See and Think Say Dem Sabi: 

Dis na the you wey dey outside, the one wey people dey see and dey form opinion about. Na the aspect of you wey people dey quickly judge based on wetin dem see with dem eye and wetin dem hear from mouth. But e dey important make we remember say many times, wetin people dey see na just the surface, and dem no really understand the complete story of who you be. People no dey know people as well as dem believe.

2. The You Wey You Know Yourself: 

Dis na the you wey dey inside your head, wetin you dey think, wetin you dey feel, your struggles and your strength. Na you sabi yourself pass any other person, and you know your own truth better than dem. You know your own abilities, your own weaknesses, and the things wey you dey work on to become a better person. But sometimes, even you fit doubt wetin God talk about you.

3. The You Wey God Make and Know: 

Dis na the real you, the authentic you wey God intentionally create and wey Him sabi well well. Psalm 139:13-14 tell us say, God fearfully and wonderfully make us and everything about you dey intentionally done by the Lord. E mean say you no be accident, you no be mistake, and everything wey make you who you be, na God plan am well well. Na dis you be the most important of all.

The Bible talk say we get three parts wey make up our whole being: spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

The Body: Dis one na the physical part of you, the one wey people dey see with dem naked eyes. E dey consist of your flesh and blood, and na through am you dey interact with the physical world.

The Soul: Dis one dey contain your mind, your will, and your emotion. Na the inner you, the place wey you dey reason, make decision, and feel things.

The Spirit: Dis na the deepest part of you, the one wey dey connect directly with God. Na the part of you wey dey long for God and wey dey seek after Him.

The body na the lowest part of man, and na the aspect of man wey everybody dey see and think say dem sabi. Dis na because people dey judge based on wetin dem see with eye, and dem no dey always take time to understand the deeper parts of who you be. But e dey important make we know say we no be just our body, we get soul and spirit wey dey make us whole.

The You In Relationship With God: God dey call you to personal faith and obedience. Scripture dey emphasize say "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart" (Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37). This “You” be the call to personal devotion and surrender.

The You In Relationship With Yourself: The Bible dey teach self-examination and personal responsibility. "Examine yourselves, to see whether you dey inside the faith" (2 Corinthians 13:5). This “You” be about personal holiness, growth, and integrity.

The You In Relationship With Others: Jesus dey command, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39). This “You” dey call for empathy, kindness, and community responsibility.

Sometimes, people and even society fit try make you feel like say you no good enough or say you no fit achieve certain things. Dem fit tell you say you no get wetin e take to succeed, or say you no worthy of love and acceptance. But God word don already talk say you get power and purpose (Psalm 8:6). The Hebrew word "Adam" wey dem dey use for man, dey apply to both male and female, e dey show say all of us suppose represent God wherever we dey.

E fit dey hard for you to reconcile the three “you” —the one wey others dey see, the one wey you sabi, and the one wey God know. Life fit throw challenges wey dey make you doubt God promises concerning you. But the most important “you” na the one wey God know and dey lead (Romans 8:14).

Wetin really matter pass na wetin God dey think about you, no be wetin people dey talk. Make God view of you dey guide your life and you go live for victory and purpose, no matter wetin you dey face.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for making me in Your own image and likeness, help me make I dey conscious of these always and express Your glory fully in my life, in Jesus name. Amen.
