PIDGIN EMMANUEL, GOD WITH US!

Emmanuel, wey dem also dey spell "Immanuel," na Hebrew word wey mean “God dey with us.” E come from "immanu" (with us) and "El" (God). The word no just talk say God dey near, e talk say God dey among Him people in a personal, real way. 

Emmanuel base for Deuteronomy 31:6 — "E no go leave you, e no go forsake you!" Dis one make am sure say God go always dey with us, anytime. 

Bible full of promise from God, and from start, e don promise to dey with us always. 

Bible dey always talk this truth wey dey comfort say God dey with us. Dis truth strong for Old and New Testaments. 

Immanuel mean “God with us,” as Isaiah 7:14 talk: “The Lord go give una sign: Virgin go born pikin, dem go call am Immanuel.” Matthew 1:23 talk say, “The virgin go born pikin, dem go call am Immanuel” — wey mean “God with us.” 

Dis verse na prophecy plus fulfillment of how Jesus Christ born, show say God come live among people. 

God with us na God promise say e go dey with us especially for hard times. 

Psalm 23:4 talk say, “Even if I waka for valley wey get shadow of death, I no go fear bad thing, because you dey with me…” God go always dey with you for every wahala. 

Isaiah 41:10 talk say, “No fear, because I dey with you; no shake, because I be your God…” Joshua 1:9 talk say, “No dey fear, no dey down, because God go dey with you wherever you waka.” 

Dis verses dey remind us say God presence dey bring courage, peace, plus strength, most especially for hard times. 

  Jesus promise say e go dey with us for Matthew 28:20 – “And I sure say I go dey with una, till the end of the world.” 

Jesus promise say e go still dey with followers even after e go heaven.

Holy Spirit as God presence show for John 14:16-17 – “I go beg Baba for another comforter to help una and dey with una forever—the Spirit of truth...” Holy Spirit na constant helper and guide for believers. 

Life hard, plenty things dey try steal our peace and courage. If we look Immanuel, e go fit give us courage and peace. 

Try start your day by remembering say God dey with you. Every morning, thank God, like say, “Thank You, Lord, say You dey with me today,” so your day go start well. 

Bible na manual for life, e get all the answers we need. Bible dey encourage make we meditate on scripture. When you dey do so, write the verses for sticky notes make you fit remember or carry am around. You fit put am for phone wallpaper. Memorize am, so e go encourage you when hard times show.

God come live among people for Jesus. John 1:14 talk say, “The Word become flesh, e live among us” — this show say Jesus na God physical presence for earth. 

Promise no stop for Jesus life dey here. For Matthew 28:20, Jesus talk say, “I go dey with you always, till the very end,” show say e go still dey with followers. 

The promise “God with us” run throughout Bible. God want always dey with His people, from Garden of Eden, Tabernacle, Temple, to Jesus incarnation, and one day we go live forever with am for New Creation. 

God presence dey bring comfort, hope, rescue, plus strength, especially if you dey lonely or face wahala, and e call us to show God love by dey near people wey need. 

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

- When you personally feel say God dey with you in special or unexpected way? Think about times when you feel God really dey “with you,” for joy, loss, or everyday life. 

- How knowing say God dey with you (Immanuel) change how you face wahala, loneliness, or fear? Think about times when remembering “God with us” bring you comfort or courage. 

- How you fit dey forget or take God near-ness for granted? Are there parts of your life wey you no dey remember or ignore say God dey through Holy Spirit? 

  PRAYER: Lord, I thank You because You promise say You go always dey with me, and You show me that promise through Your Son Emmanuel. I pray this for Jesus name, amen.
