Most houses and companies wey fit afford am dey get watchman—person wey dey look after their property, make thief or bad thing no happen. Bible describe God watchman as person wey God appoint to stand guard—physically or spiritually—over Him people, with serious duty to dey alert, warn, and take responsibility.

God watchman na guard wey dey protect him station from sudden enemy attack and other danger wey fit show. For old Israel, dem dey put watchman for high wall or tower. Their work na to dey look out and warn people if danger dey come. The watchman go lean forward, dey use eye check wetin dey happen from him high position.

God dey appoint believers to be watchmen for anywhere dem dey. People dey depend on watchman to dey spiritually alert and blow alarm if wahala dey come.

God watchman no fit sleep on duty, because people dey rely on am to warn dem about danger, guard dem from sin, and talk about judgment wey dey come.

For old Israel, watchmen dey wall, tower, or field, to spot danger—like enemy army or thief—and blow alarm, as we see for 2 Kings 9:17 and Isaiah 21:6–8.

The Hebrew word for watchman, tsaphah, mean “to look out” or “keep watch,” and to dey watch for God na wetin every believer suppose dey do.

God appoint prophets as watchmen—not just to guard physically, but to warn God people spiritually.

God watchman na guard, guide, person wey dey alert and dey observe, keeper of God instruction, and watcher.

We need God watchmen now pass before. Isaiah 62:6 talk say God put watchmen for wall to dey watch day and night without rest.

Watchmen dey needed to guard, keep, and guide the flock, heart, city, and nation from bad influence and attack.

As God watchman, you gats know your post and stay there—dey alert to blow horn. We see good example of watchman for 2 Samuel 18:24–27. Our duty as watchman na to dey watch gate.

God fit call you to be watchman for one specific place, meaning say you go dey prophetically guide, dey guard gate or city entrance, and protect from danger.

Watchman must be person wey dey pray—wey go cover people with God protection, and seal any gap for hedge wey enemy fit use enter with attack or spiritual wahala.

Na the people go decide whether dem go hear or ignore the warning.

I dey like talk say we be God secret agents—Him special forces and spiritual spies—wey dey look out for wetin dey happen for land and take authority over anything wey no pure, as Matthew 18:18 talk.

God appoint prophets as spiritual watchmen over the soul of Him people. Dem dey called “Son of man,” wey God make watchman so that Him word go reach people as warning through the prophet, as we see for Ezekiel 33:7 and Hosea 9:8.

God don set church, spiritual, and ministry leaders as Him watchmen for this time. Hebrews 13:17 talk say make we obey our spiritual leaders and do wetin dem talk—inside God word and kingdom principles. Watchman work na to watch over our soul and give account to God.

Disobedient and blind watchman fit leave him post, and the people wey God send am to protect go suffer danger, as Isaiah 56:10 talk. Obedience na the only way for true watchman.

God watchman, stay for your tower and no leave your post.

PRAYER: Papa God, thank You say You appoint me as Your watchman to dey spiritually guard and pray for Your people. Help me to dey alert to warn, strong to pray, and obedient to talk Your truth for the protection and well-being of Your people, in Jesus name. Amen.*
