ENJOY YOUR LIFE!
1 Timothy 6:17 TLB
Tell those who are rich not
to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone, but their
pride and trust should be in the living God who always richly gives us all we
need for our enjoyment.
Are you enjoying your life?
Or are you allowing life to pass you by, letting everything happen without
truly benefiting from it?
God has given us everything
in life to enjoy, but it can only be enjoyed in the right way and with the
right motive. Apostle Paul didn’t say “some things” or “only good things” — but
all things, whether good or bad. You are meant to find joy in every experience
you have in life.
Everything God made was
purposely for His and our enjoyment, and He promised not to withhold anything
good from us, as stated in Psalm 84:11.
Unfortunately, there are
many people all over the world who, for various reasons, do not enjoy the
blessings of God in their lives. Some hoard rather than give and share from
their blessings. But according to Proverbs 11:24–25, the more you give, the
more you receive. So, enjoy the gift of giving and sharing what the Lord has
blessed you with.
Everything the Lord blesses
us with is to be used and enjoyed here on earth. The blessings of God are not
just for us, but for those around us as well.
I know people who feel
ashamed or condemned when they spend their hard-earned money on themselves.
They see it as frivolous or wasteful. But if you have worked hard to earn it,
do you really think the Lord will be upset if you enjoy something nice? Apostle
Paul says in 1 Timothy 5:18 that "the worker is worthy of his pay".
That means there should be benefits for you in all you do.
Some people work, save, and
live like paupers, setting aside for “rainy days” that may never come. Sadly,
many have died before that day arrived, leaving all they worked for — but never
enjoyed — for others to use.

It does not matter where
life has taken you — but there are conditions for believers to truly enjoy
life. 1 Corinthians 6:12 and 10:23 remind us that the freedom to enjoy life
must never overshadow wisdom and caution. Let your enjoyment not be detrimental
to others. Share what you have been blessed with, enjoy it with those around
you, and let the principles of God’s Word and His standard overshadow the
world’s standard of enjoyment.
So, enjoy your life! You
only have one, but be wise in doing so, always to the glory of God.
