PIDGIN FRESH DRINK OF WATER!

Psalm 23:1-6 “Just as shepad dey guide en sheep, na so too God dey guide and provide for mi; so hongry nor go kill mi. 2 dey make mi rest for where good tins dey kon take mi pass river wey kwayet. 3 E dey make mi strong. E dey guide and take mi pass di rite road, so dat pipol go honor en name. 4 Even doh I waka pass di place wey dark pass and where deat dey, I nor go fear anytin, bikos E dey with mi; en rod and staff dey protet and konfort mi. 5 E dey give mi food to chop for my enemies present. E pour oil for my head and my cup kon full dey trowey. 6 True-true, en goodness and love wey nor dey fail go dey follow mi till I die and I go dey for God house forever and ever.

 

Everybody like better, fresh water or drink! Even though water dey important for life and suppose dey available for everybody, many people still no get clean water or even water at all. Water suppose be one of those things wey person no suppose pay for, abi? But for today, e no be so.

Water get plenty spiritual, symbolical and practical meaning for Bible and for many cultures.

You know that kind satisfaction and better feeling you dey get when you drink cold water after you don dey thirsty for some time? That na the same way our soul and spirit dey feel if we allow the Great Shepherd carry us reach quiet side wey fresh water dey as e talk for Psalm 23.

Jesus even talk for John 4:14 say anybody wey drink well from this water no go ever thirsty again – physically, e no possible, but spiritually e sure! If you remain for the valley wey living water dey, your pasture go always dey green, no be by your power but by Him mercy.

Sometimes for life, we dey pass through dry season as verse 4 talk – that time wey e go be like say everything dry: spiritually, physically, mentally or even money-wise. Person go dey so dry e go dey find relief, but e go go look for am where e no fit get lasting refreshment.

But God na our security, Psalm 23:1-4 show say we suppose get full trust for our Shepherd. Na only the Shepherd fit lead sheep come out from wilderness as Psalm 78:52 and Micah 7:14 talk, and still dey comfort dem inside that time.

Wahala and life problem don wound plenty of us as we dey do our spiritual work; some people don give up, some wan give up, some dey think am, others just dey try continue.

Na real comfort and refresh we need, and na only for God presence e dey sure. Even when life dey rough, we no go stagnate because God go provide still water wey dey refresh body, soul, and spirit as Him dey guide us pass the storm and comfort us along the road.

God word, as Psalm 19:7 talk, fit revive and refresh us. God go do everything to make sure say we dey okay. Na why e important to trust God for all our needs. As the Good Shepherd, He go always provide if we depend on Him.

How thirsty you dey? No matter how much drink you take apart from water, if you dey thirsty, only water fit quench am.

Water mean life and renewal as John 4:14 talk; water dey very important for anybody to live.

David start life as shepherd, so na why he talk about his relationship with God as Shepherd. Na that trust him sheep get for am, na same way him get am for God.

When life tire David with fight and wahala, na God meet all his needs. Na times like this we suppose sabi appreciate and collect the opportunity God dey give Him people – things wey suppose no cost us anything.

God still dey invite everybody wey need fresh water for Isaiah 55:1-2: "Come, anybody wey dey thirsty." The invite na for everybody.

This thirst na real spiritual hunger for God wey this kind opportunity dey bring. Why you go go dey spend money for wetin God wan give free? Unbelief dey cost and e no dey satisfy, no allow am stop you from drinking God own fresh water.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

-         You don ever stop think thank God for the water wey you get? Because as you know, without water, no life.

-         You dey see water as part of God blessing as Isaiah 43:20 talk?

-         As you sabi say many people no get water or clean water, wetin you fit do to help them get fresh and clean water?

-         How much water you dey drink every day and how you dey feel after you drink am?

PRAYER: Papa God, I thank You for the water wey You dey give—water wey dey clean, renew, and give life. Make Your Spirit flow for my life like river wey no dey dry. Help me to always dey thirst for You. In Jesus name, amen.
