PIDGIN LAW WITH GRACE!

John 1:17 “Na thru Moses God give us di law, but God give us favor and trut, thru Jesus Christ.."

 

Law na di foundation wey dey hold society together, or at least e suppose be so. But for many society today, law and order no dey as e suppose dey. Law dey control every area of life. If we check Webster’s dictionary, e go talk say law na rule wey person or authority fit enforce; regulation wey dey control how people suppose behave. But wahala for today be say, lawlessness don too much pass justice.

Law fit be for everybody or for some people, fit be written or unwritten, known or secret. One thing sure, law wey strong suppose last small, but anybody wey get power to make law fit change am or cancel am anytime. So, human law fit change.

But God law no dey change! Scripture law na truth wey no fit shake.

Everybody sabi the Ten Commandments, but not everybody believe am. Na so grace be too—e dey, but not everybody trust am, or some people dey think say grace na just leniency, like how Romans 6:15 explain.

The law wey God give Moses no be grace—na command to “obey”, and anybody wey no obey, na death penalty. Law go tell person wetin right, but e no dey give power to do that right thing.

Sometimes, if you tell person not to do something, na that thing dem go quick do. Even when person break law, na man go still choose who dem go punish or let go. But with grace, every person wey break law na equal — nobody better pass.

Na so grace come through Jesus Christ, plus truth. Jesus talk for Matthew 5:17-18 say e no come to cancel the law but to fulfill am, and e show say God Word go last forever. E use that same work save us from the death wey law bring, now na grace by Ephesians 2:8. Grace and truth no come judge us but to save anybody wey know say dem no fit save themselves from sin. See Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9, John 3:17.

Grace na mercy when you no deserve am at all. Bible talk how God show us grace by give us salvation, better pass our sin—eternal life, free for us, but Jesus pay the price.

Christ bring us grace plus truth. Him talk am clear say “I be the truth.” Everything Christ do show say e faithful and honest.

Grace start from God and na Him dey give am free. The way God show us grace and mercy, na so e want make we show others. Make we no dey quick judge people with law.

You no fit work for grace; na free gift from God, but e cost Jesus Him blood.

Law na like human face—dey full with wahala, emotion, and chance. Grace na another level—even if you no dey see am, e still get face: na the face of the Lamb of God wey die for world, full of glory, mercy, pardon. Offence fit dey justify, but God dey overlook and forgive by grace.

I pray say grace go speak for you in Jesus’ name.

- How and when you don enjoy grace for your life, when law for fit hold you? 

- How you fit talk the difference between grace and when person just dey allow bad thing? How e take affect you? 

- How knowing the difference between law and grace dey change the way you relate with God and people around you?

PRAYER: Papa wey just and correct judge, thank you say you no judge me only with law or my bad character, but you give me grace wey free me from punishment through Christ, amen.
