11Wen Jonatan and en savant kon let Filistia sojas know sey dem dey around, Filistia pipol kon sey, “Si! Hibru pipol dey kom out from di hole wey dem hide put.” 12Den Filistia sojas wey dey for Mikmash road kon tell Jonatan and en savant, “Make una kom meet us, so dat wi go show una pepper!”

13Jonatan and en savant kon waka go with dia belle for groun. E attack all Filistia sojas for der and en and en savant kon kill dem. 14For di first fight, Jonatan and en savant kill about twenty men and di aria big rish half-akar land.

15Den fear kon katch di remainin Filistia sojas wey dey di kamp, field and evriwhere. Dem fear and di eart kon dey shake. Na God kause dis fear.

16Saul men wey dey wosh for Gibeah for Benjamin kon si as all Filistia sojas dey run anyhow. 17So Saul kon tell di soja wey dey with am, “Gada evribody make wi si who nor dey here with us.” Wen dem gada di sojas, Jonatan and en savant nor dey der.

18So Saul tell Profet Ahijah, “Go bring di efod kom here.” (Bikos for dat day, Ahijah karry am for di sojas front.) 19As Saul dey tok to di priest, di fear for Filistia pipol kamp dey strong more-more. So Saul kon tell di priest, “Time nor dey to ask God!”

Bigger no dey always mean better result, and many no be say dem go always win pass. For God matter, plenty people no dey guarantee better victory. 

The Lord don show this thing clearly for Deuteronomy 32:30, Joshua 23:10 and Isaiah 30:17 — for God hand, number or size no dey matter. Even one person fit do wetin many go do. Many times we dey reason say na size or number go make us achieve goal, and we go dey fear when we feel say we no plenty or dem don outnumber us. But for God hand, all e need na one person wey go ready and obey am. According to Psalm 14:2, the Lord dey look down from heaven, dey find just one person.

Make this one encourage you if you feel say you dey alone for where you dey — maybe na your work, business, community, or family. You fit even be the only believer for your family, and you dey reason how you go make impact alone. God don show us through Jonathan say He fit do great things through anybody wey trust am — whether big, small, strong, or weak. 

“It may be that the Lord will work for us” This one no be doubt o, e just mean say Jonathan no depend on him own strength, skill or merit, but totally on God grace and power.

The words “there is no restraint unto the Lord” mean plenty things: First, e show say nobody fit limit God power. Nothing and nobody fit chain am or stop am from doing wetin e wan do. He fit do anything wey please am. The Lord no dey find crowd before Him fit work — whether you feel say you no fit, weak or strong, God just dey find willing, humble, and obedient person.
