PIDGIN PASSION, CHOICE, NO BE GIFT!

Passion and choice get to do with faith and purpose, but Bible no talk say passion na just feeling, sensual tin or gift; e dey stress say make we choose wetin match God own will and purpose. 

Wetin be passion? Di word “passion” come from Latin word wey mean “suffer.” For some Bible, dem use am for Acts 1:3 to mean wetin Jesus suffer. Na why Christians dey call Jesus suffering “Him Passion”.

People for everywhere get passion for plenty tins—some good, some dey okay, others no pure. Wetin you get passion for, na your choice—e mean say na you choose wetin you wan dey passionate about. Today, people no too get passion for God mata like before.

Bible know say passion fit strong for our life, but e still show say some passion dey good, some bad. Bible dey encourage make we get strong passion for God and him kingdom, make we use all our energy take love God and serve others. Bible still warn us make we no allow bad or wrong passion control our life. E dey tell make we dey careful, dey protect our heart, and make sure our passion dey match God will. If we balance am like this, e go help us follow good road and no go dey do contri God purpose.

We dey grow passion when we dey follow wetin God want make we do. Romans 12:2 talk say make we dey renew our mind so we fit know God will, e connect passion to wetin God want, not just anyhow emotion. Ephesians 2:10 talk say God create us for good work wey e don plan for us before, na so you go dey live with purpose. Make your passion dey point to better tin—like love God and love people (Mark 12:30–31) and make am for God glory (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Na God put passion for everybody to make us fit do our purpose, but di world don carry passion turn am to bad tin wey dey spoil people life and destiny. Passion wey no get Christ no pure at all. Passion wey no dey Christ side, na strong feeling—like sex, love, hate, anger or anything wey make person wan do one tin. Passion wey pure and healthy no bad, but if you put am above God, e don turn idol be that.

We get choice on top how we dey feel, Bible teach say love and devotion na choice wey come from how our heart want God pass. If you go serve God, make am because your heart value am, no be just surface feeling. Na inside Psalm 37:4 we see say if you get passion for God, e go please am. When you dey enjoy to serve and pursue am, He go answer your deep prayer.

Without real passion you no fit do your purpose finish. Na passion dey make person push when things no dey work well. Na passion dey give you strength to no give up until you reach your goal. Na passion dey make you put all your heart for wetin you dey do, use am honour God. E go also let you see say your work, hobby or skill fit be way to dey glorify God.

Wetin be your passion? You get passion for God mata? 

Passion no be gift—na your choice. You dey passionate for something or you no dey. Any tin wey passion catch us, e dey carry us go point where we go desperate, we no go look back, no go reduce.

Romans 12:11 say, “No ever let your zeal die, but keep your spiritual fire, dey serve God.” Make your passion dey ginger because you wan honour God and make better change for world. 

Let your passion follow Colossians 3:23, make e no dey for things wey no pure.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS 

- Wetin you get passion for now now? All these your passion, e dey help you move close to God, or e dey carry you far from am? 

- You get any passion or desire or tin wey you dey chase wey don dey take God space for your life? How you fit give this one to God? 

- How you dey know say one passion na from God or na just your own personal desire? You dey ask God for prayer and read am for Bible before you chase that passion? 

- How your daily choice dey show your passion for God and in kingdom? How you dey show say you dey serious dey serve God and help others?
