PIDGIN THE TREE OF LIFE!

Genesis 2:9: "And the LORD God make all kinds of trees grow from ground—trees wey fine to see and good for food. For middle of the garden, e put the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil."* 

 

The Tree of Life for Bible mean God power to give life wey no dey end and one close, correct relationship with am. 

For Genesis, God put am for centre of the Garden of Eden. Anybody wey chop from am go live forever. But after Adam and Eve commit sin, God pursue dem from the garden so dem no go fit chop from am again and get eternal life for their sinful condition according to Genesis 3:22–24. 

For the Book of Revelation, the Tree of Life show again for the New Heaven and New Earth. E dey stand near the river wey dey flow from God throne. E get fruit wey people go chop, and the leaf dey heal the nations. This one mean say God go restore eternal life and healing for all wey belong to am for Revelation 22:2. 

The Tree of Life teach us say true life and blessing wey no dey end na only from God e dey come.  E show say na only people wey dey live for God presence and dey obey am go get everlasting life. 

Plenty Bible scholars believe say e no just be ordinary tree—e be spiritual sign wey represent the eternal life wey Jesus Christ give us. The Tree of Life be strong symbol for Bible—e stand for God provision, eternal life, wisdom, and close connection with am. 

For Genesis 2–3, inside Garden of Eden, the Tree of Life dey alongside the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil—e stand for eternal life and correct fellowship with God. But after Adam and Eve fall, God lock the way to the tree so man no go live forever for sin. “The LORD God say, ‘The man don become like one of us, know good and evil. Make e no stretch hand chop from the Tree of Life and live forever.’ So the LORD God banish am... put angels (cherubim) and flaming sword to guard the way” in Genesis 3:22–24. 

The Book of Proverbs use the tree as example for wisdom, righteousness, and fulfillment: Proverbs 3:18 – “Wisdom na tree of life to those wey hold am well.” And Proverbs 11:30 – “The fruit of righteous person na tree of life.” 

This one show say to live with wisdom and righteousness go bring life, healing, and blessing. 

For Revelation 2:7, Jesus talk say: “To the person wey overcome, I go give right to chop from the Tree of Life wey dey for the paradise of God.” 

Revelation 22:2 still describe am say the Tree of Life dey bear fruit every month, and the leaf dey heal nations. Na perfect picture of restoration wey show how God people go enjoy am presence forever. The Tree of Life point to Jesus Christ—na Him be the source of eternal life—and e reflect the work of the Holy Spirit for our life, to bring fruit, healing, and spiritual strength. 

Through salvation for Christ, God open the road back to the Tree of Life. To chop from the tree mean say we don get perfect restoration to God presence and go enjoy Him blessings forever—na promise for those wey go remain faithful.

-         Wetin the Tree of Life teach me about God original plan for human being? 

-         How Jesus take restore my access to the Tree of Life today? 

-         I dey live my life in wisdom, righteousness, and obedience to God? 

-         How I fit share the message of eternal life and restoration with other people? 

PRAYER: Papa God,  Thank You say You be the source of eternal life and You don restore my access to You through Jesus Christ. I want make I dey walk in wisdom, righteousness, and obedience so I go remain for Your presence. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so my life go bear fruit wey go give You glory and bring healing to others. Keep me faithful till the day wey I go fully enjoy the blessings of the Tree of Life for Your eternal kingdom. I pray in Jesus’ name,  Amen.
