CHILD-FRIENDLY CONSIDER YOUR WAYS!
Memory Verse “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33
Have you ever been so busy
with your own things—like playing, doing homework, or hanging out with
friends—that you forgot to help at home or spend time with God? That’s what
happened to God’s people in the Bible. They were busy building their own nice
houses, but they forgot about God’s house, the temple!
God sent a message through a
prophet named Haggai: “Consider your ways!”
That means, “Stop and think
about what you’re doing. Are you putting God first?”
What Can We Learn?
- It’s easy to get busy and
forget about God.
- God wants us to think
about our choices and make sure we put Him first.
- We should spend time with
God, help others, and care about what matters to Him—not just ourselves.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. What are some things you
spend a lot of time on? Is God one of them?
2. How can you put God first
in your day?
3. Is there something you
need to change to make more time for God?
4. How can you help build
God’s “house” (church or family) this week?
PRAYER: Dear God, help me to
stop and think about my choices. Show me how to put You first in everything I
do. Give me wisdom to make good decisions and help others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Shalom
