CHILD FRIENDLY CRISIS OPPORTUNITY!

Memory Verse: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.” John 14:1

A crisis is when something hard or scary happens, and you have to make a big decision. It might feel like everything is going wrong. But guess what? God can use those tough times to help us grow, learn, and become stronger.

In the Bible, many people went through hard times, but God helped them.

Joseph was sold by his brothers and put in jail—but God used that to make him a leader who saved many lives!

Joseph said, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” – Genesis 50:20

Why Do We Face Crises?

We all go through hard things—like being sick, having money problems, losing someone we love, or feeling sad. The Bible says in Job 5:7 that trouble is a normal part of life. But God is always with us.

Even when things feel scary, Romans 8:38–39 says nothing can separate us from God’s love.

God Has a Plan

Ephesians 1:11 tells us that God has a plan for our lives, and even the hard parts are part of that plan. He uses them to help us become more like Jesus.

So, when we face a crisis, we can ask: “What is God teaching me through this?”

Crisis = Opportunity

Some people say a crisis is a “dangerous opportunity.” That means it’s hard—but it can also help us grow.

We can choose to trust God, pray more, and learn new things.

David went through many crises, but he stayed calm and trusted God.

1 Corinthians 10:13 says God won’t let us face more than we can handle. He will help us through it!

What Should We Do in a Crisis?

- Pray and ask God for help

- Read the Bible for comfort and wisdom

- Stay humble and trust God

- Look for the good that can come out of it

- Remember: God never gives up on us!

2 Corinthians 12:9 says God’s grace is enough for us—even in hard times.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS FOR KIDS

- What do you do when something goes wrong? Do you ask God for help?

- Can you think of a time when something bad turned into something good?

- Do you believe God is with you when you’re scared or sad?

- How can you help someone else who is going through a hard time?

PRAYER: Dear God, thank You for being with me when things are hard. Help me to trust You and learn from every challenge. Show me the good in every situation and help me grow stronger in faith. Amen.

Shalom
