CHILD-FRIENDLY IMAGINATION!
1 Kings 18:43 “Elijah said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant looked, but saw nothing. Elijah said, “Go again, and again, and again, seven times!”
Memory Verse- Hebrews 11:1:
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not
see.”
What is Imagination?
Imagination is using your
mind to picture things that aren’t there yet. God gave us imagination to dream,
create, and believe!
Why is Imagination
Important?
- Imagination helps us have
faith!
- Imagination helps us pray
and dream big.
- Imagination helps us see
what God can do.
Bible Examples
- Elijah’s servant had to
imagine the rain before he saw it.
- Abraham imagined having
many children, like the stars.
- God asks, “What do you
see?” because He wants us to imagine His promises.
We must imagine something,
see it in our mind’s eye, and visualise or fantasise about it through
meditating on the word of God to begin to see its physical manifestation,
because whatever we cannot conceive in our mind, our spirit will not
manufacture. Imagination is a major part of our faith.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
- What are you imagining
today?
- Are you picturing your
prayers already answered?
- How can you use your
imagination for God?
PRAYER: Father, help me see
with eyes of faith. Let my imagination be filled with Your Word. In Jesus’
name, Amen.
Shalom
