CHILD-FRIENDLY LESSONS FROM SAMSON'S STORY!
Memory Verse “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Have you ever asked
yourself, “Am I where God wants me to be?”
Sometimes we go places or
make choices that aren’t part of God’s plan. That’s what happened to Samson.
Samson was strong because
God gave him special strength. But he made some bad choices. He went to places
he shouldn’t have gone and trusted people he shouldn’t have trusted—like Delilah,
who was paid to find out the secret of his strength.
Samson ended up in a place
called the Valley of Sorek, which means “grape.” Grapes are crushed to make
juice or wine. Samson was crushed too—his enemies hurt him because he wasn’t
where God wanted him to be.
What Can We Learn?
- When we’re in the wrong
place, we can be in danger.
- When we’re quiet, we can
hear God better.
- When we ignore God’s
instructions, we can get hurt.
- But even when we mess up, God
can still use us if we ask Him for help.
Samson prayed one last time,
and God gave him strength again. That shows us that God never gives up on us!
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. Have you ever gone
somewhere or done something you knew wasn’t right? What happened?
2. Do you take time to be
quiet and listen to God?
3. Why is it important to be
in the place God wants you to be?
4. Do you believe God can
still use you even if you’ve made mistakes?
This verse reminds us that
when we are quiet and still, we can hear God and trust Him more.
PRAYER: Dear God, help me to
stay in the place You want me to be. Keep me safe from people who want to hurt
me. Teach me to be quiet so I can hear Your voice. Even when I make mistakes,
thank You for loving me and giving me another chance. Amen.
Shalom
