CHILD-FRIENDLY SPIRITUAL CAMOUFLAGE: HIDING WHAT’S INSIDE!
Memory Verse- 2 Corinthians 11:14: "Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light."
What Is Spiritual
Camouflage?
Spiritual camouflage means pretending
to be close to God on the outside, but hiding things like bad thoughts, wrong
actions, or fear on the inside.
It’s like wearing a
costume—looking good but not being real. When a person wears a “mask” of
generosity and holiness and want people to think they were fully committed to
God, but their hearts were not honest—they were hiding sin behind a spiritual
appearance.
Bible Examples
- Matthew 7:15 – Some people
act like sheep but are really wolves. That means they pretend to be kind but
are not.
- Matthew 23:27 – Jesus said
some people look good outside but are full of bad things inside.
- Isaiah 64:6 – People try
to hide their sins with good actions, but God sees the truth.
- 2 Timothy 1:7 – God wants
us to be bold, not hide our faith.
Why It Matters
God sees our hearts. He
wants us to be real, not just act good in front of others.
Spiritual camouflage can
stop us from growing, healing, and being close to God.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. Do I act differently at
church than I do at home?
2. Am I hiding something
from God or others?
3. Do I try to look good
instead of being good?
4. What does it mean to be
real with God?
5. How can I show my faith
without fear?
PRAYER: Dear God, help me to
be honest with You and others. I don’t want to pretend—I want to be real. Show
me anything I’m hiding and help me change. Make my heart clean and full of Your
love. Help me to be bold and live like a child of light, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
