CHILD FRIENDLY TAKE INITIATIVE!
Memory Verse: Luke 12:57 “Why do you refuse to see for yourselves what is right?
Do you know what initiative
means? It means doing the right thing without waiting for someone to tell you.
It’s like cleaning your room before Mom asks or helping a friend without being
told.
Jesus wants us to learn to
do what is right on our own. The Bible says in James 4:17, “If you know the
right thing to do and don’t do it, that’s sin.” So, when we know what God
wants, we should do it right away!
Sometimes we wait for people
to tell us to pray, read the Bible, or help others. But God wants us to take
the first step—just like Joseph did when he worked hard in Potiphar’s house
(Genesis 39:5).
Taking initiative
means:
✅ Doing good things without being told.
✅ Asking God what to do, like Paul did in Acts
22:10.
✅ Letting your light shine by helping others
(Matthew 5:16).
When we take initiative, we
show God’s love to others and make Him proud!
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. What is one good thing I
can do today without being told?
2. Do I wait for others to
remind me to pray or read my Bible?
3. How can I show kindness
to someone this week on my own?
4. Do I ask God to help me
make good choices?
PRAYER: Dear God, help me to
do the right thing without waiting for someone to tell me. Teach me to listen
to You and take action to help others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Shalom
