CHILD-FRIENDLY TAKE YOUR MEDICINE!
Memory Verse: “Don’t forget what I tell you. They will give life and health to anyone who understands them.” — Proverbs 4:21–22
What Does This Mean?
When we’re sick, we usually
take medicine to feel better. But did you know that God’s Word is like medicine
too?
It helps our hearts, minds,
and even our bodies feel better!
Is It Okay to Take Medicine?
Yes! God gave people the
wisdom to make medicine and help others.
Even Luke, one of Jesus’
followers, was a doctor!
But we should always pray to
God first and trust Him to help us heal—He is the greatest doctor of all!
What the Bible Says
- God’s Word is like medicine
for our hearts and bodies.
- When we read the Bible and
believe it, it brings peace, healing, and strength.
- Isaiah 53:5 says, “By His
stripes, we are healed.” That means Jesus already made a way for us to be well!
What Can We Do?
- Take your medicine if the
doctor gives it to you.
- But also take your spiritual
medicine—read your Bible, pray, and trust God.
- God’s Word has no bad side
effects—only good ones!
