CHILD-FRIENDLY: WHAT QUALIFIED YOU?
Romans 5:7–9
Memory Verse “Not that we
are competent in ourselves... but our competence comes from God.” 2 Corinthians
3:5
Qualification means being
ready or able to do something. For example, you might need to pass a test to
join a team or get a certificate to show you finished school. That’s a
qualification!
But when it comes to God,
being “qualified” is not just about what you can do or what you know. God looks
at your heart—He cares about your love, faith, and willingness to obey Him.
What Makes Us Qualified for
God?
- God doesn’t need us to be
perfect or have special certificates.
- Jesus makes us right with
God because He died for us. That’s what qualifies us!
- God gives us what we need
to do His work, just like He helped Moses, David, and Esther.
- Our most important
“qualification” is to trust God and be willing to listen and obey.
God is the one who makes us
ready and able to do His work.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. When do you feel ready to
do something new? Who helps you feel that way?
2. Why do you think God
cares more about your heart than your skills?
3. How can you trust God to
help you do things, even if you feel unqualified?
4. What is one thing you
want to do for God, and how can you ask Him for help?
PRAYER: Dear God, thank You
for loving me and making me ready to do good things. Help me to trust You and
remember that Jesus makes me qualified. Give me courage to serve You and help
others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Shalom
