CHILD-FRIENDLY: WHO STANDS WITH YOU? WHO IS YOUR FRIEND?
Memory verse- Proverbs 27:17 “A friendly talk is as exciting as sparks that fly when iron hits iron”.
Who do you share your happy
and sad times with?
Who do you talk to when you
need help with your feelings, school, or problems?
Who gives you good advice
and helps you when things are hard?
Now think about this:
Who comes to you for help?
Do you try to be kind, share, and encourage others? When people spend time with
you, do they feel happy and stronger?
Jesus wants us to help each
other. We can’t do everything alone—we need friends and family to make us
better.
A knife that is not sharp is
hard to use. It takes a lot of work to cut things. But when the knife is sharp,
it works well. Friends are like that too! Good friends help each other become
better and stronger.
The Bible says, “Iron
sharpens iron.” That means friends should help each other learn, grow, and do
the right things.
David and Jonathan were good
friends (1 Samuel 23:16). Paul helped Timothy learn about God (2 Timothy). The
first Christians prayed and helped each other (Acts 2:42–47).
So, choose friends who help
you love God more—and be that kind of friend too!
