PIDGIN BETRAYAL!

Micah 7:5-7 “So make una nor trust anybody; even if di pesin na una best friend or wife! 6 Bikos boy pikin go rijet en papa and na so too girl pikin go rijet en mama. Wife go sey e nor know en husband mama and una enemy, go bi una family memba! 7 But as for mi, I bilive sey God go kom help mi. I dey wait for God with all my heart, so dat E go save mi. Yes! My God go hear mi.

Everybody for life, one way or the other, don jam betrayal. E fit show anyhow, from any corner and from anybody—but na still betrayal. Maybe now self, you dey inside wahala because person you trust—a loved one, friend, or boss—betray you.

Betrayal dey pain well-well! The worst one na when e come from who you trust pass. People dey handle betrayal for different ways—some e go mark dem for life until God love touch them. Some go dey fear to trust again, some go turn strong heart, some go just keep quiet, run from people. You fit see some people wey go just chest am and move on.

How you handle betrayal for your own life?

Anyhow wey betrayal come, e must go pain you, especially if na close pal or loved one, just as David talk for Psalm 41:9: “Even my best friend turn against me—the person wey I trust, we chop together all the time.” The closer you two be, the deeper the pain wey betrayal go cause. Sometimes self, maybe na you betray person before and you sabi how e dey pain.

David know am! Dem betray am many times—friends, family, work people, so e fit talk the matter for Psalm 55:12-14: “No be enemy insult me—if na so, I fit bear am; I fit run hide. But na you, person wey dey like me, my friend, my correct guy. We chop and gist together, waka go church for special days.”

David no talk say na enemy worry am; na companion, na close friend break em heart.

Betrayal mean say somebody break trust or turn against who dey close to am. Bible full with betrayal story—dem dey teach us lesson about faith, forgiveness, and how e dey pain when relationship scatter.

Even Jesus self chop betrayal—na deadly kiss Judas give am. Jesus know yet e allow am, as Luke 22:47-48 talk: “While he dey talk, crowd come—na Judas, one of the twelve, lead dem. Judas waka go meet Jesus, kiss am like friend. But Jesus ask am: ‘Judas, na kiss you wan use betray Messiah?’” E pain Jesus well because e be like close friend betray am with false love.

E get many people wey don feel this same fake love and betrayal. You fit relate?

Betrayal na old wahala, e no dey select face—e dey happen everywhere, no matter tribe, class, or language.

God see betrayal as sin and e dey judge am. Betrayal na sin because e dey put your own self above others, and e dey hurt people. Betrayal get consequence, as Matthew 26:24 talk: “I must die like prophecy talk, but the person wey betray me—trouble go jam am. Better for am if dem no born am.”

Micah talk say nobody dey safe for betrayal—even neighbor, close friend or even wife. Sad but true! No relationship dey wey betrayal never reach. Matthew 10:36 confirm am.

All of us, one way or the other, don betray God. Psalm 78:37 show say anytime we ignore God or put another thing above am, na betrayal be that. And to do bad to person, or gossip, do backbite, any wrong wey dey break God law, na betrayal before God.

Betrayal dey lead to pain, bitterness, and wahala—so quick-quick forgive, na only God fit help you do am.
