PIDGIN EQUAL SHARE!

1 Samuel 30:21–25 “Naw, David don near di two hundred men wey don taya well-well to follow am go; doz wey dem live for River Besor. Dem kon go meet David and di pipol wey dey with am. Wen David rish where di two hundred men dey, e kon ask dem, “How una body!” 22But all di wiked men among di ones wey follow David kon sey, “Since dem nor follow us go, wi nor go give dem anytin from di tins wey wi karry so. Make dem take only dia wifes and shidren dey go!”

23But David sey, “Nor bi so, my brodas! Make una nor do like dis. Si wetin God don give us! E don protet and save us from Amalek pipol wey kom fight against us. 24Who go listin to una for dis matter? Di tins wey dem give doz wey go fight di war, na di same tin dem go give dis men. Make evribody share am ekwol.” 25David make dis law and Israel pipol dey obey dis law kon rish today.

 

We don hear or talk say “sharing na caring,” but we dey gree do am correct? For people wey dey try, no be plenty dey try share equally. If we go talk true, wetin go make me wan share my thing with person wey nor follow me suffer get wetin I wan share? Na so many people dey reason am. But na so Bible talk am. Bible dey strong for equal share matter. If we nor fit share ordinary things with people wey dey around, how we want take share Christ with dem? We nor dey do am! Na so e dey even for church today.

To share, na God mind be that. E start from Old Testament—God talk say make we always think of others. See Leviticus 19:9-10: “‘Wen una don gada di tins wey una harvest for una land, make una nor kut di korn wey dey di land front and make una nor go back go kut di korn wey remain. 10Make una nor go una farm back go gada grape wey don dey yuzles or pick di grape wey fall for groun; but make una leave dem for poor pipol and strenjas. Na mi bi Oga una God.”

David talk say people wey stay look after supply go collect the same share as people wey go fight battle. E set law wey mean fairness. Nobody work, calling, anointing, or grace better pass another. Everybody work dey important, all suppose share equally—whether you dey front or dey support. David say, “The share for person wey look supply na the same with person wey fight. All go collect the same.” Dem make am law for Israel.

Today, many Christians nor read am, nor dey obey am or nor sabi am—na the way some churches and ministry dey do. Front people dey chop, those wey dey work for back or ground just dey hear “Thank you, God bless, your reward dey for heaven.” E pain but na so e dey!

God wey create every thing share im love reach everybody as im pikin die for us according to 2 Corinthians 5:21.

Other place for Bible still talk about equal share, like Acts 4:32-35, where believers for share so that nobody lack anything. Today, if you need help, church go first make you come out with shame face come share your need before dem go think weather to help you. Dem fit choose or balance help wey you fit get. Many people dey go meet Christians to help, but dem dey push them comot or do as if them nor see. Where agape love? Where compassion? Where our Bible obedience Matthew 5:24, James 2:15-16, Hebrews 13:16, 1 Timothy 6:18—dem dey where?

2 Corinthians 8:14-15 talk, “As tins bi naw, di money wey una get go help dem as dem nor get, so dat one day, di money wey dem go get go still help una wen una nor get, dat time evritin go kon dey ekwol, bikos 15dem rite for God word sey: “Di pesin wey gada plenty, nor go get plenty and di pesin wey gada small, go get di one wey go rish am.” If we nor do am, our faith never balance—as Isaiah 58:6-7 talk am. True worship na when you give hungry person food, carry stranger come house—na act of fairness.

Bible confirm say every work matter and support make share and reward equal. 

Equal fit mean say you give person just enough, as you fit from wetin you get—SHARE!

- How you dey act when dem ask you to share with person wey nor work for the thing?

- You don ever chop from another person better share? How e touch your life?

- Why you think say e hard for Christian to do equal sharing?

- Which practical thing fit help you start equal share for house, church or community?

PRAYER: Papa God, teach me to see people the way you dey see dem, and help me value everybody work. Make my heart dey generous so I go fit share better, not just remain for my pocket, but beta part too. Help me come out selfish mind, make my life dey show your love, fairness and balance. I beg, make my life resemble your equal hand give. In Jesus name, Amen.
